[PRP] Late Lovely Looks for Legendary [Vim,Gales,WoodSpider]

Vim was in some disarray, but smiled sappily. She'd sought some company for but one night, and now found herself with child. Wonder of wonders, who would guess! The buck was kind and had opted to support her in her extremity, and had suggested a visit to the beautiful, benevolent, bright-eyed mare Wood Spider, to get her blessing for the babies. For healthy ones, or more of them, or more laid to live, or live longer? Something along those lines. More darling little children to tend to tenderly in any event. So Vim plodded along, following Lullaby of Gales to the good mare's lair.

Lullaby of Gales had never really thought of himself as a father -- he'd never needed to. He'd sort of wondered about it before, but was so far removed from any such situation that it was no more than a fleeting thought, a vaporous cloud stretching into nothing across a summer sky. But now, he was very much aware of the possibilities of being a father -- or, more properly, the realities of being a father (as far as he could currently imagine them). He had never been adverse to fatherhood, exactly, but he hadn't exactly expected it to spring up after one night of company, though it may have been with a lovely grey-and-pink doe with curly hair and bright, optimistic eyes.

Sadly, Vim's eyes on this day seemed... unsure. Not quite as bright as Gales remembered. He couldn't exactly blame her -- neither of them had expected a clutch as a result of their getting to know each other. The buck had offered her all of the help he could, assured her that he would help in any way he could with the offspring. Out of his resulting want to protect Vim and their children, or perhaps as a result of the anxiety that was just on the edges of his chest, he had suggested that they find a legendary to bless the pregnancy; mainly he wanted safely and health for all involved.

Gales had only really heard of a few legendaries, but one of the first that came to mind was Wood Spider. He... admittedly, didn't know much about her, but she was, by all accounts, quite nice. He could only hope that such rumors were true. The buck pulled aside a low-hanging clump of mossy branches to clear the path for Vim as they continued, trying to find the mare.

"How are you feeling?" He let the branch go once she'd passed, narrowly avoiding the moss swinging back to stick to his coat -- he was a little bit distracted, and hardly paying attention to anything other than Vim and making sure that she was comfortable, and they could find Wood Spider soon. "Is there anything that I can do for you?" He hurried to catch up to her again, only looking away in short bursts to scan for the kimeti they searched for ahead.

Wood Spider would be tickled to hear that she had a reputation around the Swamp as being 'nice;' she does not try to be anything at all, really, other than a kimeti. Occasionally she will get brief bursts of knowing that she assumes come from the Motherfather, but aside from that her life as a legendary has changed little .. merely gotten more exciting.

(In point of fact: Wood Spider had been in the borderlands with two other legendaries when the flood hit -- she knew it had come and could hear the cries of her kin in the swamp, but was not physically there to see it. It had been an interesting journey back.)

Right now she is eating; having pulled down a branch full of sweet red berries in her teeth, stripping it from the tree, she is now eating her fill of them. Beside her, a ghostly foxbun with the same tangled hair goes through the same motions, gathering up berries in its neat hands before devouring them.

Lullaby's lavished love was not lost on Vim. She smiled softly as she strode past, a gentle nuzzling of his side reinforcing her quiet "Thank you," her eyes brimming bright again with love and gratitude. "I'm well, my love, and all thanks to you." Pausing a moment to n** at his fur and fuss about his disheveled appearance, she sighed, "You're a mess, my mate! Maybe we might make to a pond or pool post-blessing, to preen and prettify you to your natural state again." rest and doting were as much his due as hers, she thought!

With a smile and a sigh, she spins once more to the path ahead, to the task at hand, and to the tree where the legendary she was looking for made her lunch! She stopped suddenly, silently slipping her sight back to her spouse. "She sups ahead," she said.
