 The double colored cub wandered around, not quite sure what to do. He knew he didn't want to stay at the den. Unless it was pouring rain outside, it would be difficult to get Harith to stay inside. Though, even if it was raining really hard, he could still be found outside, splashing in the puddles slowly filling up with the falling water. It was unfortunate, in this case, his darker pattern was on top of his body. There was never any cover for the mud stains in the light brown after one of those escapades.
Pretty blue eyes glanced around at his surroundings. What to do...His answer came on the wind.
A little green leaf, prematurely plucked from the branch, drifted past his slightly raised tail and landed square on his nose. Those same pretty blues eyes went cross-eyed on his face, trying to get a good glance at it. They never made it before the wind picked up the leaf once more. It drifted upwards, too high for him to reach and back down to move away from him. With a little cub giggle of utter amusement at the smallest things, Harith pawed at it and chased after it. |

Firuza had been sleeping. She'd been sleeping VERY peacefully, taking a break from her lessons in being a Banu. Since she was almost old enough to be given to a Pad, she had to make sure she was at her BEST, and learn everything she could from her mother and her father's other Banu. But for these moments...well, it was exhausting work, learning, and she deserved a break!
Sadly, fate seemed to think otherwise as the giggle of a little cub reached her ears, startling her awake. Firuza made an odd sound, blinking at the cub who'd interrupted her sleep. "What are you doing, Pesar?" He looked a little familiar...

The leaf seemed content on staying just out of the cub's grasp. It slowly took him further and further away from his family den, something he didn't at first notice. Those pretty blue eyes were too focused on catching the slippery object above him, the maneless throat of the youth constantly uttering a string of giggles in equal contentment of the game. It would float down, just out of reach of his paw, gracefully stroking it like a lover before drifting back up with a strong breeze. It continued to tease him in this way for many minutes until, at long last, a large gust of wind brushed past him. It caught the leaf midway between dropping back down to earth and whisked it away, far beyond the reach of the cub.
Giving a huff of defeat, Harith gave up his prey and sat down, his tail curling about his body. He hadn't noticed anyone near him until a question was posed his way. Jumping in fright, the cub turned towards the voice, spying the older lioness nearby.
Harith was still too young a cub to understand the different roles of everyone, so his first instinct was to bow his head like he'd done something wrong. Like he expected this lioness to escort him back home so his parents could reprimand him for getting so far away from home on his own.
"Just playing," came the honest answer, raising those blue eyes to the lioness'.
