Aneesia had managed to sneak out of the den during the daylight hours. Phle was asleep, and several of his b*****d children were staying with him in the den that day instead of with their mother in a different den. She wanted time to herself during the hours where the pride normally slept. She was generally unseen by the other slaves in the pride. She did not hunt, she did not help with other things because of her deafness. In reality, she was unsure of what she was even being kept for. Phle did not use her as other slaves were used. He was also rather nice to her.

Looking around, Aneesia tried to spot anyone nearby. Her inability to hear make it very difficult for her to know who was around and she did not like to be surprised. Not spying anyone at the moment, Aneesia dipped her head down into the watering hole to drink from it. It had an odd taste to it, probably attributed to some of the sulfurous run-off from the volcano at the center of the pride. She had still not seen that part of the pride.

Fully grown now, and praying for cubs of his own, the young male Nasira, a rather strange Slave, was making his own way through the Pride to the watering hole. He honestly had quite the long day training with Gentha, and it meant that he was now about ready for a drink. He was usually up during the daylight hours, getting no more than maybe 4 hours of sleep a night. Stretching a bit, he was intrigued when he saw another Slave across the pool. Stepping into it a bit, to get her attention, the rather pink male grinned, "Hullo there!"

Aneesia hadn't heard Nasira's words, but she had seen the rippling water and threw her head up startled, her hackles raised and fear in her eyes. She wasn't sure if it was a slave or a demon, and even though she caught full sight of him she still wasn't sure which he was. He was very pink, whereas Aneesia was only a little pink but mostly half-black, half-white. Her breathing was hard and she took a step or two away from him and shrunk down, not sure what to do.

"No heet," She muttered, her language slurred because of the trauma she endured with her hearing loss. It had also made her speech odd every now and again, and since she hadn't heard anything in months, she wasn't even sure if the words she was using were coming out right.

He gave her a kind grin. Oh. Deaf then. He could hear the slurr, and though it was a bit troublesome to understand, he turned his paw over, a gesture of peace. Not speaking now, since it was kind of useless, he kept the smile up, sitting back, so that she didn't see him as a threat. He really wasn't. Well, not yet. His Demon was still hidden within.

When Nasira smiled at her and offered her a paw, she relaxed just a little bit. He smelled funny. He smelled like Phle's Niece, Gentha, had smelled. Were they related? Perhaps he was her slave. She recalled her mentioning a slave once, when she still heard a little in her one ear. With Phle's kids yelling into the ear that could only hear a little, it was beginning to go completely deaf itself. Soon she would hear absolutely nothing. She needed to work on reading the maws of others.

"Aneeshia," She said quietly, pointing to herself, before she touched her own mouth," I read moths."

She hoped he understood what she was trying to tell him. She knew that she was hard to understand at times, and that was probably why she never spoke to others anymore, but it would be nice to have at least one friend in this god forsaken place.

He nodded, and mouthed slowly, "I am Nasira. It is nice to meet you, Aneeshia." His eyes were still soft, and he slightly lay himself down, "I'm the Na'artu to Gentha. My sister. And you?" He'd not really seen her around before. Maybe his irritating little Serval friend had....after all. M'tirrah seemed to get around a lot.

"Na-sir-ra?" She asked, trying to get his name correct. She didn't want to insult the male by botching his name up. Thankfully for Nasira, she had been so pre-occupied trying to get his name right in her head she had completely missed the part where he has said he was Gentha's brother. If she had known that off the bat she would have ran like a maniac. Wherever Aneesia was, Gentha wasn't far behind. Being a pest.

"Born her'?" Aneesia asked, trying to start up a conversation. The only other lions she had been in contact with was Phle, Gentha and Phle's brats. None of whom were very good conversationalists, or good company in general. Ok, so maybe she was exaggerating about Phle not being good company. Despite keeping her here against her will he was sweet to her. The brats and Gentha were horrid though.

He nodded slowly, "Yes. To Amashen and Tiis." He made a bit of a face at the thought of his b*****d of a father and b***h of a mother. As far as he was concerned, he had no parents, but she'd asked. It was only right to be polite. His tail was still flicking a bit, though less in irritation now, and more in passive thought.

"Not from her'," Aneesia said quietly, refusing to identify herself as a slave, though it was obvious she was one, "Live in den with Phle."

Aneesia didn't remember her parents at the moment. They had died when she was young, and all she was left with was her pride which inevitably betrayed her and stole her hearing from her. If he was born here than it was very likely that his parents were demons, and she could only wonder how he could live in a pride that treated him so badly. If he had nowhere to go, like she had, than it was an understandable manner. Having a place to live that you know inside and out was better than living in an unknown place with no one to count on.

He blinked and nodded, tipping his head to the side. He was very intrigued by this femme before him. His parents were demons, of course, but he was a slave, only hoping his cubs would be dark. They would be....very lucky. He would love every one of them as well, "Lucky. I live with my Sister."

"Why no dehmon?" She asked, absently pointing at more of the darker points on Nasira. He seemed ok to her, despite his being pretty pink. He was nice, or at least he seemed nice, and she figured that was the reason he was a slave. Though when she pondered on it further, it made no sense. Phle was generally kind with her, perhaps he was something else outside of the den. Sometimes she was curious, but something in her said never to ask and never to wonder too much.

"How I leave?" She questioned, hoping that perhaps he would know a way of her to leave without being caught and drug right back in. Phle was nice, and while she did like him, she did not want to stay here. She did not want to live here.

He looked away, "I do know how to leave the pride...." It wasn't that hard. He'd found so many crags to hid in til they were asleep, "You want to?" He asked, curiously.

Aneesia struggled to read his lips when he turned his head from her. She could only read them moderately well when the person was looking right at her. She was confused as to what he was saying and her face made a grimace as he went on to speak. She couldn't manage to decipher it.

"Cahn't shee!" She barked, trying to get him to look back at her, her agitation with the struggle apparent in the heavy lisp her words took. The more agitated Aneesia became, the heavier the lisp got. She would stop focusing on her speech and focus more on her anger. On occasion she would deteriorate so quickly that she sounded like an incoherent mad woman.

"Turn he'd," She stated.

Jumping, he turned He chuckled as he realized that he'd startled her, and made it harder for her to read his lips. Tipping his head, he said, "I do know the way out."

"How?!" Aneeshia almost exclaimed, jumping to her feet with eyes wide and hopeful. She wanted to get out of this place. She didn't want to be the Nanny to another woman's children, and she didn't want to fear for her life each time she left Phle's den. She wanted to the ability to go where she wanted when she wanted, and not to feel like she was being stalked and watched. She missed freedom.

Looking away nervously, his eyes fluttered shut, and he took a slow breath. Oh god....He could get in so much trouble...."Come." Gentha had showed him this way out, and he could only pray that no one would catch them now. He might die for this...

Aneesia didn't follow her and it would become obvious to Nasira in a few moments. As they had talked, the sun had begun to set and in a shadowed area in the trees bright blue eyes were watching them. Gentha had woken up from her nap and come looking for Nasira to find him talking to Aneesia. Aneesia panicked slightly and made several panicked noises to try and get Nasira's attention.

The panic caught the younger's attention, and he turned his head, and quickly bowed it, trying to hide the shame in his dark gray eyes, "....Hello sister." He gave her a calm smile. acting as though nothing was wrong...and he hadn't been about to lead Aneesia out of the Pride.

Aneesia panicked outwardly when she read the words off Nasira's lips. 'Hello sister.' She shrieked when it sank in that Nasaira was Gentha's brother and therefore her slave. She had been talking to Gentha's blood relative. Was this some sort of trick? What game were they playing with her? Aneesia hissed at them both, turning and running off back to Phle's den. She was being tricked!
