BDSM- What do you think about it?

Dominance and Submission (DS),
Sadism and Masochism (SM).

A term for a broad array of sexual practices, especially involving restraint and inflicting pain.

Rihanna's song S& M is all about whips and chains and made me wonder what other people think about it.
So what are your thoughts?

I would have to say that BDSM not only is about Masochism, submission, pain or Bondage. It can also be about kinky sex toys used for a better orgasm. I would have to say that I rather love this type of Sex or fun, I don't care if you are against or for it, but I rather like it.

To be more specific (or, less, as I am paraphrasing), for some it is a lifestyle revolving around asserting dominant/submissive roles, not just in the bedroom, but everywhere in life. Many of the toys used in bondage play are symbolic of one's dominance over aspects of their life.
And my source of information is another person who's very into the lifestyle herself.

As something to do in the bedroom (or kitchen, bathroom, dungeon, car etc) I can see how it might be a lot of fun with the right person (or people).

As a lifestyle though I disapprove of the Domination/Submission part. Not because I think it's wrong, but seeing people subservient (even if that's what makes them happy) offends my naturally rebellious nature. Given how many people are slaves in real life, it annoys me that someone might choose that lifestyle.

I like it. I support the sexual aspect and the lifestyle aspect. Though I do not support abuse or cruelty regardless of what the dominate/submissive lifestyle holds. There is a line in the sand and that should never be cross.
