Later tonight Jim Harbaugh will be leading Stanford into the Orange bowl against Virginia Tech. His future after the game tonight is uncertain.

Many teams, both in College and pro's have shown an interest in Harbaugh and would like to have him as the new head coach.

Stanford would love to keep him, San Francisco 49ers would love to have him, and Jim wouldn't have to move away if he accepted the 49ers job. Denver Broncos have an interest and with Stanford alum John Elway now running football operations might have some weight behind getting Harbaugh. Carolina Panthers have the #1 overall draft pick and many speculate they may take Andrew Luck from Stanford if he enters the draft, might be a bargaining chip to try and get Jim to Carolina if they bring in his QB. Michigan State might have a job opening for Head Coach, and some think that since Jim was a Michigan Alum he may return to his Alma mata.

So which team is most likely to land what appears to be the hottest candidate for head coaching in Football?

EDIT: Correction on the poll, Jim was an alum at Michigan, NOT Michigan State.

I watched the Orange Bowl last night, very impressive job by Harbaugh leading Stanford to a 40-12 victory. When asked in the press conference after the game what he might do in regards to his job he said he did not want to talk about it, and just focus on celebrating the victory for the evening.

I also noticed that John Elway was in attendance that night. I wonder how much of his attendance there was to support his former college? And how much of it was him attempting to talk Harbaugh into going to Denver? Hopefully we shall see what Harbaugh decides to do soon. (GO TO SAN FRANCISCO!!)

Word got out today that after returning to the bay area after winning the Discovery Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech, Jim Harbaugh has met with the San Francisco 49ers on their vacant head coaching job.

No comments were made by Harbaugh's agent, and no official interview on the matter made by Jim after meeting with the 49ers, but what initially started off as rumor that they would be looking to acquire Harbaugh is now true.

Of course Denver is still looking into getting Jim, Michigan officially fired their head coach leaving their team with a vacancy, and now word has it the Miami Dolphins are interested in Harbaugh. Though Tony Sparano hasn't been fired yet, word came out at Dolphins camp saying they will hold on to Sparano for now, see who they might be able to get, and if they can land a coach they want then officially fire Sparano. Of course now we know Harbaugh is one such candidate for the Dolphins.
