So far with all the head coaching changes in the NFL this off season, the only team now left without a head coach are the Oakland Raiders. And though Al Davis is taking his time in naming a new head coach, it seems, according to insiders from within the Raiders organization, that the job will go to offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.

In related news, Tom Cable is filing a grievance against the Raiders and Al Davis to retrieve $120,000 in fines by Davis throughout this past season. Rodger Goodell will appoint an NFL official to oversee the situation and makes sure it gets resolved.

In other coaching news, Jim Harbaugh is mixing up the 49ers coaching staff by bringing in three of his assistants from Stanford. This includes offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who will be the 49ers 9th offensive coordinator in 9 years. Vic Fangio who will be the 49ers new defensive coordinator, and Tim Drevino to be their Offensive line coach.

49ers former defensive coordinator Greg Manusky was hired to be the new defensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers.
Forgot that the Eagles fired their Defensive Coordinator.

That's why I enjoy having you around KTS, you do such a great job picking up my slack and pointing out what I miss.

As speculated, earlier today Al Davis finally announced that the Raiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackman will take over as the teams head coach.

In other coaching news former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary was hired on by the Minnesota Vikings to be their new linebackers/assistant head coach. Singletary was fired with just one game left in the regular season after loosing to the Rams 25-17. Mike and Vikings head Coach Leslie Frazier were both teammates playing together on the Chicago Bears.

Josh McDaniels will be back in the NFL next season, the St. Louis Rams hired McDaniels to be their new offensive coordinator. Josh was fired as the Broncos head coach following some very questionable trades and a spygate incident.

More coaching news, Tom Cable, former Oakland Raiders head coach was hired by the Seattle Seahawks to be their new offensive line/assistant coach yesterday.

It's nice to see how many of the fired coaches are finding new jobs really quickly. Cable went from the Raiders to Seattle, Mike Singletary went from the 49ers to the Vikings, Josh McDaniels from Denver to St. Louis, John Fox from Carolina to Denver as thee new head coach. Even Wade Phillips from Dallas to Houston.

It took a little while, but another head coach has bit the dust.

Reports have come out earlier today that Jeff Fisher, the longest running head coach of a franchise, the Tennessee Titans, has decided to leave after 17 years with the franchise, (back in the days when they were the Houston Oilers)

It was reported from the Titan's head office that the decision was all Fishers, that he decided to part ways with the team with one year left on his contract.

There was quite a bit of drama this season between Fisher, team owner Bud Adams, and QB Vince Young, after Adams decided to let Young go it looked like Fisher would stay for at least one more year, but that will not be the case.

The Titan's are expected to buy out the last year of Fishers contract.
