関西弁/Kansai ben

I was wondering, do any of you speak/understand the Kansai dialect?

I've been studying it recently, but I only know basics, like めっちゃ, 〜やねん, な instead of ね endings, etc.

And if you've been to Osaka/Kyoto/etc area, is it difficult to pick up on, or understand if you've been taught standard Japanese?

Ooh. Kansai ben. I'm also interested in the dialect.

One of my penpals from Osaka also taught me ほんま as kansai ben of 本当.
I don't remember the others she taught me, 'cause I'm concentrating more on standard Japanese first. But I know great site that helps with kansai ben!

I'll be studying in Osaka, and everyone tells me I'm gonna pick up the Kansai Ben. XD

But I'm excited. One of my teacher's has the Kansai Ben and we have fun asking where intonations are, since she has to think about switching them.
