 lizbot When Lunchlady Ginger went to go pick up Hellma and the Acceptance Bin from the Boogeymen, she had the fortunate forethought to bring snacks. "Binney Boy, yeh didn' get ta finish yer dinner las' night, poor thing." A large, strong hand held a piece of paper through the bars of the holding cell. "Thissun's another tasty gorgon, eh? Ya wants a lil' snakey for yer eggs'n'bakey? I bet ya do, who'sa good Bin, thass right." The Boogeymen accompanying her stared on in silence. The Headmistress waited in the cell with rolling eyes, disgust, and visible impatience. Really, if this was what she had to see first thing, she'd rather just stay in that gaol and rot. |

Personality: The middling sibling of the Gorgons, Nevena certainly does her best to stand out as the 'coolest' of the three. She's trendy, she's talented, and she commands the attention of everyone around her! What's not to like? Her confidence may very well border on arrogance, but those allowed to enter her inner circle will discover just how easily she can fall to pieces if a plan doesn't come together like it was supposed to. Which is rare, she'll have you know, but it's happened!
Though she is impatient at times and sometimes scathing with her words, Neve shows her affection with teasing. If she likes you, she’ll stick around, and if not... well, if you’ve made her dislike you, you might find something unpleasant stuck between the pages of your book, or something that bites in your backpack. Revenge is very sweet, and occasionally, she’ll ‘get revenge’ on people who haven’t even done anything to her yet. It’s a preemptive thing, she swears!
She can be surprisingly tenderhearted at times, and secretly longs for a "forbidden romance", but she'll be Jacked before she tells you any of that! Her sisters are the most important thing to her, and she'd do anything to protect them. Likewise, the same can be said for any person that managed to wiggle into her heart, whether as a friend or something more. Though she tries to act as fierce as the Boogeyman himself, she needs people to lean on for support, and values those who give it to her very highly. In essence, she can be an enormous sap at times, and there is the danger that she might fling herself on you for a hug. Just as quickly as she can be sweet, however, Neva can prove to be quite the little witch if she sets out to make your life miserable, and it won't be surprising if she lands herself in detention more than once.
Her mantra? Aggressive optimism.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Why, to become as famous as her ancestors, of course! Nevena inspires to be a terrifying monster one day who will go down in legends and stories for ages. She fully intends to make Medusa look up like a washed up hag by the time she's done (with all due respect), and won't let anyone get in her way.
FEAR: Nevena's FEAR revolves around the third eye on her forehead. When it snaps open, a brilliant, blinding flash emits from it and temporarily blinds anyone who was looking at her at the time. This gives her enough time to get up close and personal, or run away if things are going sour. If her intended target isn't looking at her, then the flash is useless--but just closing your eyes or turning around won't do! Her target will have to be physically hiding behind something solid and tangible to be fully shielded from the aftermath!
In short: Closing your eyes = No good
Turning around = Not entirely blind, but definitely dizzy/seeing spots
Hiding = Good to go!
Natural Ability: Like all Gorgons, Neve is able to temporarily paralyze her foes with a single glance, so long as she makes eye contact. Transfixed by her gaze, the affected party won't be able to move a muscle until she moves or breaks eye contact. This means that Nevena must be standing still for it to work; if she attempts to approach them, they'll be a little disorientated, but free to move about as they'd please again.
