On second thought, instead of the caves, there was no better place to come than the waterfall where it all began. This seemed like the best area where water ran diligent without interruption. If they could find out what was going on here, then hopefully they could relay it to the rest of the village. The twin Tomoe within the depth of his eye scanned the area to see if any anomalies laid about since their last arrival - though nothing seemed out the ordinary, it was always good to check. "Let's not fool with those mushrooms again. We don't want a recap of the hospital." His voice was a little more stern than usual; showing that he was rightfully unhappy with how Reiki completely ignored him when he said not to eat it. >:C Though he was happy the other was back, he just wished the guy would listen to him once in awhile."Nothing looks out of the ordinary besides the usual rising water. Let's take a look around to see if we can find anything peculiar."Turning, Ayon looked to Reiki with a less than satisfied stare; knowing full well he might not even pay attention to his words. Reiki did what he wanted, but hopefully that would chance for once.
"I hope Air-chan is alright. . . She hasn't gotten back to us yet."Tired and yet here he was worrying about yet another person. Kind was an understatement.

S H I N S E T S U Eirlys||Bukijutsu||Genin||"Sode no Shirayuki" ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ The Frost Witch [totally keeping this name] kept a steady pace to the waterfall, never deviating for even a moment despite all the screams and uncertainty that rent the air. The entire village was in an uproar and she did not know what to do about any of it. She didn't even know what was going on. Sure she might have understood a bit of it, but understanding alone would not be enough to solve all their problems. Without the proper knowledge to predict possible methods by which to go about correcting whatever wrongs they had done there would be no hope for the village as it continued to sink. Either it was sinking or the water was rising, but either way the same result would come about from the ordeal. Nothing would be left if all went as fate planned it. She would do all that she could to assist Ayon in his endeavors. Spotting him and Reiki across the way Eirlys sprinted in a short burst of speed before coming to a gradual halt, pressing pause on her forward movement a few feet away from the two. She was not winded, and stood her ground with a grim smile gracing her features as she looked from one to the other. "I'm so glad to see you are both well." Her gaze landed finally on Reiki as she looked him up and down, nodding once to confirm the truth of her words to herself. The spots had vanished and he seemed to be in one piece. He would be fine. She then looked at Ayon and reiterated what he certainly already knew. "Everything is in a loop. I tried opening the door to Sypher's office and it wouldn't budge, and just when I thought I had made it through the window I found myself seeing a vision of what happened there before I arrived. His secretary is stuck inside the office and Sypher went to Sero." With that said, she had successfully disclosed the Mizukage's location to him. Or at least, where he had been heading. She had no idea how long ago that event had taken place so she could not say for certain if the man would still be there. Turning to the water, she stared long and hard, but could not for the life of her see the steady rising of the water, even though she knew this was the case. Eirlys turned back to Ayon for the final time. "Things aren't lo-" She paused and looked even closer. With a start she opened her eyes a little wider and placed a hand daintily across her lips. "Your eyes..." That was all she uttered on the matter.
Here again, at this Waterfall, where everything went wrong in the first place. Defiance, had nearly cost him a lot. He wanted to pin the blame on Sypher, alas it wasn't that man's fault. As if he would give someone else that much credit for his own actions. Reiki didn't meet Ayon's gaze, for all extensive purposes he barely heard the words. But his eyes had glanced down to the water that had risen since the last time they were here. He rubbed the side of his face, lost in his own thoughts. Quiet, for once, compliant and obedient. He wouldn't try something like he had done before. "Maybe the water isn't just rising, what if the water is what's causing the mushrooms. Is anyone even sure this is water?." Common sense struck him, but it was still too early for him to speak. So he kept his thoughts to himself. Hoping that thinking it at the very least put his intentions out there for the world. Rising waters wouldn't cause these mushrooms to grow. And they had to be connected somehow, all of this had to be connected. But what was the connection? He tilted his head back and stared to the glyph without a word, and why did that attack them when they attacked it.

Looking around, the scan only produced a steady image of many different chakras floating around everywhere. Over the water, in the water, through the mushrooms, through the fuuin, around themselves, along the ground, in the sky, everywhere. The lower the altitude, the denser the chakra, like a fog, metaphorically speaking. The densest parts lay around sewer grates, drainage pipes, and other such underground paths, as they led even deeper. Of course, the lower parts had higher humidity as well, meaning even more waves of those funky colored mushrooms grew there.
Ah! Air-chan had finally come back! Smiling from ear to ear, Ayon turned to view the young girl who. . . for some reason, looked somewhat different in his eyes. Almost entrancing - to the young man, she was very very veryyyy pretty all of a sudden. Momentarily blushing away, seeing her response to his eyes, he scratched behind his head nervously while looking down. "Erm. . Yes, well. I don't know what's going on with them either, but I can see chakra and move a lot better because of them. Whenever this is all over I plan to figure out what's going on myself, but in the meantime." His head shifted then, turning to view the various area of chakra build up. The lower he went, the denser it got; as if emanating from underground. So, whatever it was causing these mutations and possibly the water rising, was coming from beneath Kirigakure? If that was indeed the case, then they needed to get moving to find out more. "Air-chan, be careful of the mushrooms, though I'm sure you've figured that out. Alright. . guys, apparently there's a massive amount of chakra seeping up from the ground. Whatever is beneath Kiri might be the reason for the mushrooms and the water rising. We're going to figure it out." Walking on over towards the waterfall with the others in tow, Ayon kept lead.
"Reiki, Air-chan; be weary. I have no idea what could be under us, but. . I have a really bad feeling about this. . Someone leave a sign of our entrance, just in case, you know. . we don't make it back out ; o;" Behind the waterfall, a cavern lay leading them deeper underground and in the darkest of night, the crimson eyes of his Sharingan lite bright as they made their way through. Though, Ayon quickly thought of a solution; the palm of his hand went up in flames as they headed downward into the creaking black.

He had to shake this feeling he had, of being worthless. If it continued he'd never escape the cycle, and seeing the enthusiasm of those he traveled with. He'd just become another burden rather than a solution to the problem. Reiki took in Ayon's words, and became slightly buried in thought. A portion of this sounded familiar, but he wasn't sure just what. Following Ayon's lead, Reiki would step onto the river. It froze underneath his foot and the ice shot across the surface. The trickling stream of the waterfall would slowly freeze over before the ice shot upwards. A handseal in both hands sent the black dragon blizzards searing across the sides of the waterfall to create an arc. Meeting at the top and crafting an ornamental head that sat there to cause water to fall on either side of it. His ice didn't melt easily, this was a given, so it could hold to some cold water just fine. Then, he remembered the story. "They say there was a monk, who prayed endlessly for the drought in Kiri to end. He gave up his life for this cause, and water returned. What if that Monk's prayers were unanswered, and whatever is causing the waters to rise. Is the same thing that killed the monk.And who says that all of these things are being caused by a single monstrosity." He held another seal, causing the ice to morph once again. Solidifying after the mold he had crafted an icy path from either side of the river beneath the waterfall to the cavern that lay behind it. A few more seals would be needed as he continued to mold, and harden. And harden and mold. Every shift in the ice structure weakened its stability, and therefore had to be reinforced by freezing it solid with more water from the fall. Luckily, here, it was in abundance. He could do as he pleased for as long as he liked, until where they were going became a spectacle of sparkling ice. No doubt, anyone who came would see this show.In the center of the platform the bridges led to, underneath the archway of the waterfall. A statue would shoot up from the ice. It took the form of Reiki, and left plenty of room along its edges to be walked around. The statue was about ten feet in height, but it would be enough to let others know that at least he was down there. Not that it held to good for anyone coming to rescue him mind you. Reinforced, again with more water frozen. He could feel his breath sharpen, a puff of white mist escaping his lips. "Well, someone should see that." He took his steps lightly behind Ayon. Down into the lair of a behemoth, were they truly prepared to do something like this all alone?
They didn't have far to go, in any direction. The water level in the underground was high enough that any movement below about a foot from the ceiling of the drains in the ground meant having to go entirely underwater. Mushrooms decorated every surface, their delicious smells now rampantly encasing those within their perfect habitat, though seeing them became difficult as the sun set. Their hefty weight from growing so well meant that many had fallen from the roof to the murky depths below them. In the patchy places, a light green surface shone through, one of obvious non-cave origins. Did they dare to go into the mushroom laden waters to check them out? Given their prior experience with swapping of internal fluids, perhaps it would be best to heed the warning signs all around their group.

S H I N S E T S U Eirlys||Bukijutsu||Genin||"Frost Witch" ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Though she could not boast certainty in knowing what the mushrooms did exactly, she knew that they were a big no no simply from the fact they had rendered Reiki unconscious before they had parted ways. That was enough a warning label to tell her to 'stay away' in bold letters and neon lights. Eirlys was at a loss as to what all was going on, but it seemed they would finally be about to get some answers as Ayon started to lead the way into a cavern that led below ground. Eirlys started to follow but stopped to watch Reiki's display. The ice sculpture was beautiful, in a perfect likeness of the male, and Eirlys had to chuckle before she resumed her pace in tow. It wasn't long before they arrived as far as they could go below without having to get wet. "So it seems no matter what we do we will have to go underwater to understand what is happening." Eirlys took a single step off the side of the small group, looking around her carefully as she examined the walls and the floors, and finally the ceiling. "Mushrooms..." It was then that the scent finally hit her, and she realized that this would be her first time in such close proximity of the things. She could understand why Reiki had done what he did in eating the odd little things that had appeared out of nowhere. But then again she had been there when Sypher had said not to. Whichever was the case she knew she would not subject herself to the episode. She turned back to them quickly, about ask what their next move would be, but then she spotted it. A contrast to the water ahead of them, between the patches of mushrooms to the side was a surface that shone a light green hue. Eirlys stepped forward cautiously and stood over it, watching it curiously as it glowed. "I think I've found something." Leaning forward, Eirlys reached her hand towards the patch of green liquid that she had never seen before in an attempt to ascertain whether it was shallow or if they could possibly pass through. She had not been there to experience the swapping of fluids brought about by the mushrooms and their adverse effects with contact.
And so they headed onward. Rather, downward, is the better term. The trio went on their way with Ayon looking about, examining things around every turn. The deeper in they got, the stronger the overall chakra emitting from the area became. Far off from his field of vision, he noticed it around the time Air-chan did. A glowing blotch of green deep within the depth of water; to think the tide had pulled the sea up by this amount in such a short amount of time. "If we don't stop this, the entire village will be flooded before we know it." Right, but how would they be able to find out what exactly was going on. As Ayon pondered this to an extent, he heard the lore which Reiki spoke of and momentarily turned to look at him; a puzzled guise brandishing his features before then looking back towards Airlys, whom had outstretched her hand to touch the water. Without a second to lose, he'd already gotten next to her, grasping her outreach arm with strength she might not know the boy to have. His eyebrow narrowing as blood hues stared at her. For the first time in awhile Ayon was showing his general irritation and it would probably come off as surprising. "Have you lost your mind?! Don't you see all the mushrooms growing around here? If you were to touch the water, you'd be contaminated. Stop doing rash actions." Nearly spitting them with venom laced in his tone, he let her go. His nerves were shot from the day and people not listening to him no matter what he did.
Staring down at the gaping water, he turned to Reiki, knowing that the solution to this could be easily met. "Can you make us a safe passage downward? Whatever made this cavern isn't a natural occurrence. If we find out what that glow might be. . " His tomoe seemed to spin in activation of another Uchiha secret, staring off into the depth.". .we'll be able to stop the village from drowning." And thus, he awaited his answer.

Luckily Ayon was the smart one out of them, being wary. Eirlys and Reiki were far too reckless for their own good. Defiance exuded in his pores, and yet he was thankful the girl was halted. He extended his palms forward, staring at the green glow from the water. Was that chakra, was it a reflection. Or was it something deeper in? Were the waters here so clear that they could see right down. Eirlys' haphazard attempt to touch the water was thwarted. The scolding tone of his voice caused Reiki to laugh. Shoving his inhibitions from earlier to the back of his mind. "Yeah, I can handle that much." He held a sign in both hands and spun them in a clockwise manner. Both arms being adjacent from each other as the water around them would swirl. Tearing itself from the moisturized ceiling and from the floor below. The water would spin into a semi circle, and then continue to fill out as it spiraled above them. Every second that passed allowed the water to grow more and more. Expanding until it was large enough to engulf the three whole. Its rapid spin didn't allow any of the mushrooms to get by, sending them flying away from the source it once buried itself within. The floor directly beneath them was almost void of moisture. That was until the swirl that had stretched above them came back down on the opposite side. Caressing the space underneath their feet as it nearly completed the dome. What they were in now could be described as a cylinder. His hands stretched out towards both hands of the water spaced dome, sending both arms from low to high so that water would seal the sides. Completely enclosing them in a magnificent show of water. Again, the clockwise motion of his hands. That the water would all flow in the exact same direction once more. One spin, and then two. Another and another after that. He would exhale, and the water would begin to frost over. Shoving his hands forward as the white ice of snow slowly began to become opaque and glass like. So they could see out of it, solidifying the beautiful reflective glass with the three within. "Alright ... let's go." The hand signs he held with both hands would motion, and the shield with the three in it would begin to lower into the waters. Whatever was beneath, well, they would just have to find out. "What if that light is another glyph?"

S H I N S E T S U Eirlys||Bukijutsu||Genin||"Frost Witch" ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Her hand was mere inches away from the water when it was suddenly stopped in place by an opposing force. "Huh?" was all she could utter as she turned her head to see that it was Ayon who had restrained her, and the look on his face grew darker somehow, accented by the deep crimson of his eyes. He seemed far beyond the point of irritation, and it was a long time coming for all the crap they had both put him through since the start of the day. Her cheeks grew pale pink when he almost spat the words at her. She was being scolded, and she knew she probably deserved it for being so rash with her actions. "I didn't know..." was all she managed, stepping back just as he released her and turned to Reiki. Eirlys had not known that simply touching the water would cause problems for them. After all, Reiki had touched the mushrooms earlier and so did Ayon, and it was only after Reiki had ate the mushrooms that anything bad had happened. Maybe she had missed something while she had been away from them? There was no time to question that however as she watched Reiki work.
All the subtle hand gestures and movements that were mesmerizing to watch had Eirlys wondering why she wasn't attempting to perfect her own Jutsu the same way Ayon and Reiki seemed to be doing. She might as well get some training in before she actually made it down to the space below to whatever awaited their arrival. Certainly it would not be a gift of peaches and roses that would be offered on a silver platter, and she held no illusions that whatever they were to meet would be friendly. Hostility seemed to be the status quo when things started getting confusing. In anticipation of the worse she formed a Hatsuyuki to her side, and held a single handsign beneath her lips and blew a breath of frost onto the already solid dome they were in. It was better not to take any chances in such uncharted territories. She kept up the wind for a few more seconds as the sheen of ice spread across and throughout the dome's entire structure, further reinforcing its stability and defenses. Eirlys didn't doubt the power that Reiki's dome possessed, but "It's best that we don't take anymore chances from here on out." The ice had thinned just as the dome had done, so visibility was still as it was when Reiki had initially formed the thing.

Hitting the first level of the underground, the shinobis' impromptu submarine found a fast current after leaving the normal cavern behind them. All around them was what could normally be called the drain ways, or even the sewers in some regions, but all would be coated in a light green, shell-like structure. Travelling along collected several of these thin plates on the outer surface of the ice as it bumped and grinded through the underground. -----ωith the help of the map given to me by the Mizukage, I found my way to the waterfall he had mentioned, and I could assume that was what it was normally. Now, however, it was frozen. The whole trip there, I had been on guard, given the alarming message that came over the speaker system the village had. One of the crazed inhabitants had evidently gotten a hold of an intercom. It was followed by the secretary announcing an evacuation of the streets, and to travel in groups. Well, crap. To that end, I'd kept my hand on the hilt of my new elemental sword the whole journey. -----Now as I approached a waterfront again, I pulled my jacket up over the lower half of my face to avoid the smell of the mushrooms in the area. Most of it was frozen, but it was better to be safe than sorry. I couldn't see anyone at first glance, but a large statue made of ice caught my attention. Given the humidity of Kirigakure, it wasn't likely to be natural; even as I watched, drops of water fell in an almost constant flow from it, gathering at the statue's base. At least it had stopped the water from rising for a while. If the reports were right about the water being contaminated, it was best to avoid it at all costs. -----A closer look at the soggy ground revealed faint footprints leading to some sort of cavern. Within, the water left only about a foot of head space before filling the tunnel completely. But... The footprints disappeared into it. Had someone tried swimming through it? Gazing carefully down, I caught sight of a glow in the water, hardly visible past the dense growth of mushrooms. There was no sign of who had been here before, except for the ice. With no way to move forward, I took a better look around the area.

As Kaileer looked around, a heavy set of roof-bound mushrooms fell into the shallow part of the water, still attached at the base of a light green shell. On the back side, the shell was darkened, and refused to let mushrooms grow upon its surface. Overhead, if he looked quickly enough, the shell would appear to regrow, along with a fresh batch of brown mushrooms. Sitting in the shallow end, the fallen shell's clean backside poked above the surface as if waiting.
