AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

User ImageName: Bently Hurst
Nicknames: Kilometer
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Faction/Race Reanimated Nekomata
Natural ability Kilometer's natural ability of minor magic (reanimation) is currently being used to keep him reanimated. To tie into his appearance he needs to be wearing his gas mask for his ability to be in effect. Like living things need oxygen to stay alive he needs to breath in his natural ability/FEAR to stay reanimated. :>

>>> Personality:
........
When speaking his voice is garbled a bit because he's speaking through a gasmask, which might make him sounds more nasty then intended. Overall Kilometer is a quiet individual (besides the sound of breathing through his gasmask), rather keeping to himself then being the center of attention. When he's not being quiet he can come off quick punkish and blunt. But if he befriends someone then it's different. (see: Selective Speaking)

Caution: Nekomata bites
You poke at him for too long and he won’t hesitate to bite back. Some dogs are all bark and no bite well this cat is all bite with some faint meows. Kilometer is not one to start fights but he won’t hesitate to fight back if provoked. This is not to be confused with having a short temper. If anything he considers himself rather tolerant with a variety of behaviors and actions. Another sign of caution is he doesn’t like being touched. So if you pretty much avoid physical contact without his permission then you’re fine.

Ef mornings
Up all night and asleep all morning Kilometer is more of a "night person" then day and is a late riser. So when he's forced to get up early it takes him a while to get moving. His mood is very sluggish until he wakes up and just kind of moans all morning long.

Selective speaking
Kilometer is very selective of who he speaks with. Because of that he can come off as unintentionally rude, which is usually not his intent (there are times where he will purposely ignore you). If approached, more likely then not, Kilometer will respond back to you to be polite. If he grew a liking to you he will purposely go out of his way to run across paths with you just to chat. If you happen to be in a group with other people he will talk to you and “ignore” the others in your group.

That was so funny I forgot to laugh. No. Seriously though. That wasn’t funny...
To put it bluntly Kilometer has NO sense of humor, he just doesn’t. In the rare chance you see him laughing it’s because everyone else around him is an it’s to be polite. Other then that he’s as sense as they come when people say the joke went over someone’s head. On the other side of the coin if he makes a funny comment or remark and others laugh he will not understand why, since he is not capable of understanding why what he said was funny.

>>> Quirks
No. This is actually my room as well. “Haunting”
Kilometer has his own room but will tend to “hang out” around or somehow get into another students room or a particular place around campus. The places he choose vary and never stays the same for long. They are usually places of interest, be it the room of a friend of his, a room of another student that has something Kilometer wants or likes, or even a place where something interesting happened. Sometimes strange things happen when Kilometer is outside your room at night, such as; while your sleeping your blankets will suddenly fly off your bed or your lamp might fall over.

Feed me your experimental, poisonous, sweet, sour and spicy foods
Kilometer loves bad tasting food. On the flip side he also loves anything that’s horribly sweet, spicy or sour. If your soup exploded with a skull and cross bone cloud rising above then he’ll want to eat it. If you are making a disk in hopes of poisoning another student he’ll want to eat it too. With this he also has a bottomless pit as a stomach. He has a fast metabolism and can eat through anything. Huge pile of meat? Gone. Several large bowls of ice cream? Gone. Gallons of soda? Consider it gone. Put them all together? May take a tad longer but it will be devoured. Size does not matter. He will literally eat a horse if it stopped moving.

I do not wish to breath the same “putrid” air as everyone else
Wearing a gas mask might not be considered normal for anyone but for Kilometer it’s mandatory. The mask is lined with radioactive and hazardous materials (the reverse effect of what it was made for) which gives the wearer an intoxicated feeling and will constantly be poisoning the blood. Another side effect is that it also homes his FEAR and his natural ability, which is what’s keeping him alive. This undead student was decomposing from the inside out since death. He died from a combination of radioactive poisoning and being around hazardous/acidic materials which slowly ate away at him. (see: skeleton limbs and side specifically) But somehow his natural ability reanimated him. That, and then whatever side effects he experienced from the radioactive materials he was exposed to.

Need a cough drop?
Inhaling all that toxic air can't be good for the lungs. That may be correct for a normal student. Kilometer is part of the undead now so there really isn’t such a thing as “toxic” anything, or even the use for lungs for that matter. Besides being dead he is always "sick" so to speak due to the large amount of toxic air he breathes in. The more he moves the heavier he breathes and the heavier he breathes the more toxic air gets into his system. After all, he’s supposed to reanimate things that wont be getting poisoned. Poisoning usually leads to death so it’s a bit pointless. This poor guy is a walking contradiction.

Now he CAN take off his gas mask and breath normal air and will randomly be seen doing so but too much of “pure” air will cause him to feel feint. After all the natural ability that is keeping him “alive” is what he breaths in through the gas mask. If he goes too long without it he will start shutting down since his life force is being drained.

Basically this gas mask is the reverse of what it's originally meant to do. Instead of keeping lethal air out it keeps lethal air in.

>>> Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?

A circled date on his calendar that told him when he was to leave for the academy. He must have died between when he applied and now because he doesn’t remember at all what happened before he “woke up” and does not remember applying for Amityville Academy. Because he was already accepted be figured “why not?” It’s not like he was doing anything anyway.

>>> FEAR:
In a nutshell: The reanimation of dead things and the animation of inanimate objects, using the little ghostly fire/spirit balls that float around him.

Kilometer comes equipped with 2 ghostly fireballs. These ghostly essences are the sole source of his FEAR. They themselves are toxic to breath in and hot to touch and glow a very faint purplish blue.

Their function is the ability to animate objects; be it the dead or inanimate objects. The ghostly fireballs absorb into whatever they are animating, thus being under Kilometers control.

Animation of inanimate objects
This is probably the most common use for his ability as it allows him to make weapons out of pretty much anything. The restriction is that whatever object he is animating the object must, essentially, keep it’s appearance unaltered. A chair will always be a chair. It may be able to move it’s back and legs freely and walk itself across the floor or flatten out but it will always has a seat, 4 legs and a back and will always remain the size it was originally. If he forces one of his ghostly fireballs into a broom stick the broom stick will be able to bend to his will but will still be a long “poll”. Using the broom stick as an example he can make it move like a snake, use it as a whip, use it as a rope, bend it into a circle and turn it into a who-la-hoop, etc. In terms of actually USING the object he can either use it himself (ie: grab it and fight) or have it attack on it’s own (since it’s being controlled by the fireball which ultimately is being controlled by him)

Another restriction is he has two ghostly fireballs and can animate up to two inanimate objects. The larger the object the more work he has to put in into controlling it. Objects too large will require both fireballs where most objects require just one. In cases of the object being humongous he will not be able to reanimate it. (ex: He can control a door and a window, or an entire small storage closet, but not the entire school building)

Reanimation of the dead
Reanimating things that were once alive takes a lot of work and focus. Because of this it requires both of Kilometer’s ghostly fireballs to pull it off but even then depending on the built of whatever he’s controlling it’s natural speed will be much slower.

This is no way a permanent thing or executed for a long period of time. He only has 2 ghostly fireballs after all, he can’t just go getting rid of them willy nilly by keeping them in a dead person. He does use them for other things. Plus it takes a lot out of him.

Just like the inanimate objects if the already dead person is too large or heavy (yes weight actually matters in this case) then he can not reanimate it.

Since the dramatic finale of the Battle of the Bands, Hellma's office had remained quiet. Deathly so. An easily replaceable brave gnome checked inside, and found it empty of both the professor and the Bin. A few wondered if the headmistress was on vacation, or perhaps sick. A lot more simply walked a little taller and breathed a whole lot easier without her or her shadow's looming presence. Her secretary, however, did not seem the least bit relaxed by this reprieve.

A gnome whistled cheerfully as he swiped at the floors with his brand new mop. It was the best mop ever, he even had a little song he was writing about it.

"O me Molly she do have a lover-ly head,
An I never seen tha like's not even in Brek's shed!
If she were a bodified lass I'd have her to we-"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SCRRRRRRRREEEEEE!
GN
ASHSNARLCRASH!

Silence.

The sound of the mop handle hitting the floor and tiny feet running away as fast as could be.

"Bin. Stop such antics and try this one. Is an animator of sorts, always useful. And we have use, yes? Much use."

Light flickered within the previously empty office, the door cracked open just enough for the secretary to see that not only were both Bin and Hellma back on campus, but that they had brought back stacks upon stacks of application papers with them.

Things were going to get...busy.
