Upon arriving at the gates Akayama simply showed a writ from the Hokage giving affirmation of a mission. With that presented the two of them leaving was logged and they would be permitted beyond the gates. From the road leaving the village they would be taken off the path and brought out into the wilderness of the land of the Fire. The scent was somewhat muddied out there but if they went slow and acted carefully it could still be followed. [Exit]

Atsuko approached leisurely to the gates, his long black overcoat covering most of his body as he moved from between the trees to viewable range. He always liked the land of fire for their forests, it was peaceful. When he could spot guards or at the very least was closer he'd pull back his cloak and his hood down. This way they could see he was unnarmed and his hands were visible though gloved though he was still masked, the red oval hiding his features with the exception of his eyes. Even his hair was covered in black material that hid it meaning no skin was showing. If he was told to stop he would, otherwise he'd stop just outside the gates and wait to be spoken with.

Kisuke followed Fang as they continued tracking the scent, it seemed they had to get past the guards to continue. As they walked Kisuke looked over at his mentor."How did this genin get past the guards? Also did the gauntlet he steal have any special properties?" That was a question he should have asked the shop keeper. But he had made a mistake and forgotten to do so. He mentally smacked himself for the mess up. As Fang was following the scent, the heavy foot traffic made it difficult."Where was the headband found?" The genin would have obviously scratched and left his headband in a more isolated location. Meaning their would be less foot traffic and his scent would be less tainted.

The two guards looked up from their post to see the stranger approaching the gates. With clothing that hid much of his being and seemingly no markers of affiliation one of them seemed to ready a communicator while the other stepped forward a few feet before calling out to the man. "Identify yourself and state your business!" His voice was firm and even toned, clearly somebody of experience. His fellow guard seemed to whisper something into the communicator. No doubt signalling the log of a visitor at the gate.

Atsuko took a mental note of the change to demeanor. He had been here before, though only once. It wasn't hard to see that regulations had shifted. Likely for the best considering the state he had last seen things in.

"Atsuko Uchiha, Leader of the Shishin. I was here prior and located intelligence that was once lost in the village. This was given to your Kage. I bring no ill will, instead I am seeking audience with them. Beyond what I have already done for your village I also have more information that could prove invaluable" Atsuko stated cleanly. Even from behind his red oval mask his voice would be clear and steady,

Her prey had thought her to be long away, how foolish the boy was. When they had crossed paths earlier, Xifeng had asked for a match between him, as per her family's values. He had refused with his mask self skulking off into the distance. Finding his appearance curious, the wandering wife had followed him without hesitation. He still owed her a fight, after all! He would move along the path, with the pink haired beauty followed along with light footsteps. Or at least as light as she could manage. When the path she took led her to the gates of Konohagakure, Xifeng would followed behind a short while after Atsuko spoke about seeking entrance into the village. She had not known the reason, but whatever they were, it was surely important to be in this place. "I see this is the "important business" that you spoke of." The woman moved beside him, a hand on her blade in case he tried anything. "You don't attack, I don't attack. Now what business do you have here that's more important than fighting me?"

The one hanging back seemed to speak into his radio again. No doubt he was relaying the information back to somewhere else. The one who had stepped forward eyes the masked man suspiciously and the woman who had approached. Her appearance was strikingly similar to the Hokage but it was said that everyone had at least one doppelganger. "Ahhh, wait here a moment while we verify some of this information and get clearance for you to pass."

Atsuko nodded to the pair, reaching behind his mask and undoing a latch or two. It was at this time that the....pink one showed up. He had hoped he had lost her but seems fate was against him. If there was one skill Atsuko did lack....it was regarding women. At least not in situations that were casual. With his mask now off and his features revealed he'd eye her up and down with a mixed of what could be described as interest and mild uncomfort. However before he responded to her he got an idea, a good test if you will. More like fun to him.

"I have a deal for you stranger. I'm here to do some business in Konoha. You play along pretending to be a member of my group and you will get your fight if we don't get kicked out. Call it a game if you will. My name is Atsuko, hope you're ready to play"

Well he TRIED to put on his usual confident and smooth voice, it'd be pretty obvious there was at least something putting him off. Not that he was scared....just nervous. The volume he put to what he had said was kept low, but it was also just casual. This situation might actually prove useful to him in the end, though he dreaded having to actually fight her. It would be a time and a half no matter what.

Xifeng had finally caught up on her trail, only to learn at the male was younger than she would have hoped! The latches of his mask loosened, freeing his youthful face as they met eye to eye. His youthful face was complimented by his red eyes and dark hair. The both of them sized up one another as the pink haired wanderer put a hand to her chin. A bit young for her tastes, but if he was indeed her partner, she could work with it. Maybe wait a few more years and a little more bulking up. He talked to her in a low whisper, offering to fight her if she played along. A grin soon formed on her face.

"Sounds interesting. I've been meaning to get some practice in anyway. You've got yourself a deal, Atsuko. I'll make sure to play nice."

She whispered back, teasing him while noting his discomfort. Maybe he was one of the type sof people who wasn't a fan of social interaction or just was anxious at the situation at hand. It was difficult to tell. Seeing no immediate danger in front of her, Xifeng's hand slowly fell off her weapon as she crossed her arms and looked up at the guards in front of them. Unless they were the more dull type of shinobi, they would probably see that the two of them had very little relation to each other. To think, Xifeng had just wanted to fight this masked man who turned out to be some teenager and here she was a few hours later, standing in front of the Leaf Village and passing as an accomplice of sorts. All she wanted was to hopefully see if this boy was her Destined One! At the very least, he was sort of handsome in a strange way.

The approach to the gates had been a sort an anxious venture for Ayame, her whole life had been within the village and very seldom did she venture out of it when she wasn't on personal business, it had been only missions and very selective training that let her venture out of the village. The lady hokage arranged an escort for her, as Ayame was still a genin despite her recent climb in training. She wore her kimono with a light shawl wore around her shoulders, purple fabric concealed much of her upper body along with the actual headband she wore on the arm. Wearing waraji, her steps were quiet while she followed a man wearing one of the signature flak jackets that signified that he was at least a Chuunin. With her paperwork handy, she let her escort handle the business with the necessary clearances with the guards. Soon enough she and the chuunin broke off in a jog and were on their way for the woman's personal trip. //Exit

Ayame shifted through the area in transition of the gates, her Chuunin escort moved on ahead while they body body flickered in. Her credentials were checked and she was back home in the leaf. New horizons were broadening for the girl.

The guard was unsure of whether or not the man was foolish or if he simply didn't wish for the woman to come inside the village with him. Either way it was odd that he wouldn't take greater pains to hide a statements such as the one he just made. Though in his defense, the woman's attitude upon arrival would have been cause alone to doubt any such relationship as strong as members of the same organisation. While he waited for them to do whatever it was they decided to do with each other it wasn't long before the gates opened from the inside and two masked members of the oinin stood by in waiting. The guard who had thus far hung back stepped forward and spoke. "The Hokage has agreed to meet with you Atsuko Uchiha. Though we only have clearance for you and you alone to enter. Kuroyama and Kawayama will escort you to and from the office."

Atsuko raised an eye brow to that statement. His mind churned and he didn't move from his position.

"Ask for clearance. This woman is with me and for my own protection you see, not that there is much we could do against an entire village. We are merely two shinobi after all.

Either that or I would agree to talking to the Kage at these gates"

He chose his words very carefully, and hoped his new companion would do the same. In the early stages of diplomacy every action was taken into consideration, even those not vocalized. He just hoped things would stay reasonable.
