Seven Heavenly Breaths

User Image

___Description:
___A Taijutsu Style created as a counter to the Eight Gates by using different methods of breathing to increase a practitioner's abilities. While it showed promise early on, the inability of the Seven Heavenly Breaths to match the Eight Gates in sheer physical power caused it to be branded as a failure and all but scrapped. Further development took inspiration from the Hyuuga clan's Gentle Fist Style, along with the more animalistic fighting styles of the tamers. Direct strikes to Tenketsu were eventually abandoned as they relied too heavily on chance for those who did not have the Byakugan, and the different animal styles were pared down and refined to a single stance that showed the most promise: the Muon no Ken [ Silent Fist ]. Featuring the physical enhancements of the Seven Heavenly Breaths, the confusion induced by the Silent Fist, and the pressure point manipulation derived from Hyuuga methods, the current iteration of the Seven Heavenly Breaths was released onto the world as part of a great experiment to determine its viability against the heavier physical Styles.
___Relevant Training: Hard Physical, Soft Physical.

___Notes:
• Rigorous: This style consumes two [2] Bukijutsu slots, and cannot be learned if you possess another rigorous style.
• While an [ Activation ] technique is active, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu cannot be used. In order to use a higher level [ Activation ] technique, all lower ones must already be active.
• All [ Pressure Point ] techniques can be turned off by using the technique on the same target again. They also end when the battle ends.

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Daiichi Kassei [ First Activation ]
Rank: E :: Simple
Description: The most basic breathing technique of the Style, wherein the user begins to breathe in four times as much air as a normal person. After carefully regulating their breathing, the user's eyes turn completely white and they gain an aura the color of their Chakra. While this technique is sustained, the first Taijutsu technique used every post is treated as complex if it is simple, regardless of rank. To compensate for this, the next Taijutsu or Bukijutsu technique used during the same post has its bonus descriptive ranks turned into detriments. (I.E. A 6 descriptive rank increase to speed becomes a 6 descriptive rank decrease to speed.)

Muon no Ken [ Silent Fist ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A unique fighting stance that coats the user in sound-dispersing Chakra, rendering all their movements perfectly silent. As a result, while the user remains in this stance, an opponent's descriptive increases to speed and reflex are negated while in melee range. Lasts for three posts, after which it becomes sustained with an upkeep cost of one rank lower than its own. Can be fully dispersed by physical techniques above its rank.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Daini Kassei [ Second Activation ]
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: By further regulating their breathing to take in more oxygen, the user causes their muscles to expand. While under the effects of this technique, the user can freely transfer descriptive ranks between strength and speed for the first activation in a post. Additionally, strength and speed gain 2 descriptive ranks each for that same technique, ignoring the cap on descriptive ranks. To compensate for this, during the next Taijutsu or Bukijutsu technique used during the same post, the user suffers a 2 descriptive rank penalty to their strength, speed, fortitude, and reflex.

Attsuuten Futsuriai [ Pressure Point Imbalance ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user covertly strikes one of the opponent's pressure points. After being struck by this technique, the target can no longer sustain techniques up to this technique's rank for longer than two posts.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Daisan Kassei [ Third Activation ]
Rank: C :: Simple
Description: The user's body turns red as they continue to pump it full of oxygen, resembling the Gate of Life. While this technique is active, if the user's first technique activated in a post is complex, it is treated as spiritual, stacking with the effects of Daiichi Kassei [ First Activation ]. To compensate for this, the second technique used in the post is treated as simple if it is not.

Attsuuten Konpai [ Pressure Point Fatigue ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A strike delivered to a pressure point. After being struck, the target must pay an additional 5 Chakra per rank every post to sustain techniques.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Daiyon Kassei [ Fourth Activation ]
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: The user's body turns a deeper shade of red and their aura expands. While this technique is active, the costs of sustaining this and any [ Activation ] techniques already active in the previous post are reduced to 5 Stamina total. To compensate for this, the cost of the second technique used each post is doubled.

Attsuuten Koboshi [ Pressure Point Spilling ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A jab to an important pressure point. After hit with this technique, any techniques the target is using that have a set post duration become sustained, requiring their Chakra and/or Stamina cost(s) to be paid each post to maintain their effects. Only affects targets with a body rank below this technique's rank.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Daigo Kassei [ Fifth Activation ]
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: The user's veins start to glow with the color of their aura as their breath regulation continues. While this technique is active, all Taijutsu techniques that affect the user and have a set duration become sustained, requiring an upkeep cost to be paid each post but removing the duration limit. Additionally, all sustained Taijutsu techniques (including those created by the earlier effect) have an upkeep cost of 5 Stamina. To offset this, the user is treated as D-Rank Body when interacting with Genjutsu and loses any benefits that would have them treated as a member of the Genjutsu class (including actually being in the Genjutsu class).

Attsuuten Seijou [ Pressure Point Normality ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A strike delivered to an important pressure point. Once afflicted with this technique, the target no longer gains any descriptive ranks from techniques at or below this technique's rank. Any changes in how the opponent's physical techniques are treated (i.e. simple are treated as complex, complex as spiritual, etc.) are negated. Only affects targets with a body rank lower than this technique's rank.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Dairoku Kassei [ Sixth Activation ]
Rank: S :: Simple
Description: The user's aura flares up, becoming large enough to rival the sweat put off by the Seventh Gate. While this technique is active, the user is able to combine the effects of Muon no Ken [ Silent Fist ] with any other stance they know. To offset this, sustained techniques from outside this Style lose any descriptive bonuses.

Attsuuten Kuzure [ Pressure Point Ruin ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A strike to a very specific pressure point. Once afflicted with this technique, the target becomes incapable of activating one technique specified in the user's post. If the user has not seen the target use the technique to be blocked and has no knowledge of how the technique works or cannot recognize the technique to be blocked, this automatically fails. This technique's cost is one rank higher than the blocked technique. Can be used multiple times to block different techniques.

Dainana Kassei [ Seventh Activation ]
Rank: S+ :: Simple
Description: The user's aura collapses and clings to their body, turning their skin the color of their aura mixed with red. While this technique is active, the user is able to freely use Chakra in place of Stamina. To offset this, the user suffers both Tenketsu Rot and Burnout throughout 10% of their body per post. Fully recovering from this requires twice as much medical care.
