Necessity of Intention?

Here's a quick question, brought up from a conflict between experiences I've had and stuff my pastor said:

Can we summon or call things up or upon ourselves unintentionally? Do we on some level have to desire that which we call up? Must we be conscious of this calling or can we do it unconciously or subconciously? Must we do any calling at all?

There is no way we can know all of the consequences of the actions we do. We set things into motion without realizing it. I think what matters is how we deal with the ********, not that we do ******** up. (if we're talking about ******** up)

I think we can do some stuff on accident, and other things require effort and intention.
