It'll come out of its coma once people decide to be active; it won't suddenly emerge. I've seen too many guilds die.

If only there was a way to add flair to the guild. A way to breathe new life into it, but not have it be super-active for a week and then just re-die. I've been pulling a few friends into conlanging with me, but none of them have gaia accounts and they wouldn't really be able to contribute much

I think the idea of the competition COULD work. What kind of competition would it be? Based on creating conlangs, using them, advertising the guild...? I could try to help set things up if we started fairly soon...

Contests as in functionality, purpose, development, quality, difficulty/simplicity, And then script look and usability.

Just an idea :/

And we could do translation contests or whatever. Just ideas, anyone else got ideas?

I would post some of my work, but I'm not too confident about it, since I'm pretty much a n00b with linguistics I don't feel I have much experience. ._.

We could do a collaborative conlang created in rounds/teams of sorts...

For Part A we could create a phonology, and a team could give a set of 3 vowels and 3 consonants, and the next team could have the option of modifying some of those (ex: k -> x) or of adding some more sounds to the set. Then we could move on and decide on grammar points and create words and sentences and such in this way.

Sounds fun! But most of the time that fails due to people changing it too much, or people adding things that are too difficult for others and then taking away things that are actually needed due to the vocal ranging options avaliable... But it does sound fun?

We could always have the rules be stricter, though that might get too complicated and not seem "fun" at some point for some...*shrug*
