Wandering around the guild again, I noticed that the 40K section as an "Army List Review" thread, while we do not. So time to fix that up.....

Rules:

1) Only post army lists or review comments and suggestions in here.
2) Only make helpful suggestions. Anything else will get fragged to heck.
3) when posting a review, quote the army list you are commenting on. That way we know which list you are referring to. If not, I'll frag the comment.
4) Don't post a breakdown of points. You can however post the total points for the unit.

Thats all for now. Have fun.

DO.

I think it's a pretty damn good list.

You need to drop 3 points.A points limit is just that,a limit.Get rid of 1 night Goblin(they're 3 points right?)
Other than that a good list

I'll keep the goblin unless the oponnent tells me directly, at my store we don't really care about one goblin.

Thanks Daemon.

I hardly ever see an army list with gobbos anymore.

There's a person at my GW who uses a goblin horde and has lost only once with it, and no, he didn't only fight incompetant opponnents(I think he actually drawed with our stores best Dwarf player, a staff member.)

Gobbos can be a useful tool in any Orc and Goblin army if used correctly. Though now a days everyone just wants to use Orcs. Only one guy at one of the GW I go to uses Gobbos, well Night Goblins. 2 units of 10, with Fanatics, and a big unit of black Orcs. He had a couple Giants, and spear chuckas. His characters was a warboss, and a lot of Goblin Shaman.

10-Gobbo units? He's playing illegally. Also, a couple giants means at least 2, meaning at least a 2K pt. game, meaning he'd need at least 3 Core choices.

He had some stuff, but it was for fun. So, he had 2 units of 10 Night Goblins (with Fanatics), 1 big unit of Black Orcs, 4 spear chuckas, um, 2 Giants, a bunch of snotlings, lets see, 4 Goblin shaman, and a Black Orc Warboss. Well, that's what I think he had.

Ummm, let's see... Your magic force is somewhat lacking in, well, magic. I would suggest dropping the hydra and the chariots in exchange for some more spellcasters.

As for the combat one, I would probably try dropping some Cold One Knights and/or some Executioners to get that Highborn on a Dragon instead. Much more effective. Or at least I THINK you can get Highborns on Dragons... Please correct me if I'm wrong.

OK folks, here's the deal.

I'm taking on an Orc player next week. We're doing the Battle In The Streets from the back of the General's Compendium. Go look it up -- it affects what I'm taking seriously.

I'm the attacker, so I get to burn the town down! Woohoo!

We're playing at 1800 points. Only 4 units can start on the table, the rest dribble in as the game progresses. No War Machines can start on the table.

Our GM has ruled that characters can start on the table as long as they start within units, and attachments to the four units also start on the table. He has also ruled that WFTs do not follow the standard rules for war machines and therefore may start on the table. We had a long discussion about this, because *I* wasn't sure they should be allowed to start on. We're going to try it this way for now and see how it goes.

Here's my force:

The Four-Unit Lead and Characters:

250 pts.: 1 x 25 Clanrats (Spear and Shield, full command)
+ attached Warpfire Thrower

256 pts.: 1 x 26 Clanrats (Spear and Shield, full command)
+ attached Warpfire Thrower (I had six points left over.)

225 pts.: 1 x 25 Clanrats (HW + Shield, full command)
+ attached Warpfire Thrower

285 pts. 1 x 20 Stormvermin (HW, Halberd, Heavy Armor, full command)
+ attached Warpfire Thrower
+ Banner of Burning Hatred (unit subject to Hatred)

149 pts.: Battle Standard Bearer (will go in one of the Clanrat units)
+ Heavy Armor
+ Sacred Standard of the Horned Rat (unit causes Fear)

135 pts.: Warlock Engineer (army general)
+ all the Warlock Engineer goodies except the pistol
+ 2x Dispel Scroll

160 pts.: Assassin (will be hidden in a Clanrat unit that does not have the Standard)
+ Smoke Bombs
+ Warpstone Armor (4+ save, every successful save inflicts S4 hit on the unit that caused the hit)

Supplemental Forces
Turn 1:
100 pts.: Warp Lightning Cannon

Turn 2:
150 pts.: Rat Ogres x3

Turn 3:
90 pts.: 5x Gutter Runners
+ Throwing Stars
+ Poison on everything

Total: 1800

Chosen Warriors wear Chaos armour, though I have to say it's a good list. Yet I would get rid of the Spawn, they're only good if you have two of 'em, I would go for nurglings instead.
