because when i watched all the videos of sonic x, i remembered that Chaos used all the 7 emeralds to turn into that gaint monster. he drained all the 7 emeralds power and became useless but then sonic's friends gathered all the emeralds together and restore the power to make sonic into SUPER SONIC...
so i think it was coming from Sonic X...

ok just figured out sonic didnt go hyper in sonic x ..... he goes hyper sonic when he was in sonic underground...... it was the final episode when eggman was going to destroy the world but sonic goes hyper and levels a city trying to stop him.......hyper sonic creates a wave of sound tha destroys every thing in it radius
