I have just about every Gameboy except for the Color and Micro. I also own DSlite and the DSi. Since I'm a collector, I usually keep my systems in top shape (I have a 30-year old Atari 2600 that looks new). My handhelds usually last about maybe 5 years before I have to buy a replacement part or a new system entirely. I bought the DSi when my DSlites R trigger stopped working and when its touch screen got scratched. The amount of time you keep a game system all depends on how well you treat it.

I can't remember how long I kept my other systems but I'm still using my DSLite. It's from the year it came out.

All of my systems aside from my old GameBoy work perfectly. I'm acutally using my GameBoyColor the most.
