[PRP] Watch the sky! [Natsumi & Aulii'Naia]

About time! Natsumi gave a lick at a messy patch of her golden yellow coat, smoothing out the fur and finishing up her grooming at last. She gave a slow sway of her tail in the air, content with what she had accomplished. She was clean at last, after being out in the rain that had come the day before. It had been so much fun to be out and playing when there was a nice drizzle out, but boy had it matted and messed up her fur. Especially with all that mud. But that had been part that was the most fun. Jumping in puddles, trying to make little mud creatures but never succeeding, that was a blast!... But being nice and presentable to others was nice too."Huh.. I wonder if it'll rain again." 'Sumi questioned out loud with a curious look on her face, looking up at the sky from where she was lying down in both hope and dread.

Fun could be had!.. But a messy coat would come as well. Cleaning all of the time wasn't all that fun. "Rain, rain, stay away~" She chimed with a cheeky grin, wagging her tail as if an excited dog spotting a favorite toy. "Don't come back until the next day~" The cub rolled over onto her back on one of the colony's large stone temple steps, letting out a shiver at the chill seeping through her fur. A bit chillier than usual, the pour from the day prior getting everything wet and staying overnight. The sun shining outside sure was nice, but it helped little in warming things up.  

[Velveteen Angel]

Aulii'Naia had been excited the day before, playing out in the rain as much as she could until her mother had finally called her back, claiming she would get sick. The young cub wasn't allowed too far from her family's den just yet, because she was still young and her mother was worried for her safety. Aulii'Naia didn't have much of an urge to go wandering either, happy where she was. However, when she'd gotten to the edge of the 'allowed to go' area, she spotted a large puddle, just begging to be jumped it.

Peering back over her shoulder, she didn't think it would matter that much if she moved a little further. Crouching low, she bolted across the 'don't cross' line, as imaginary as it was. Leaping high and crashed down into the puddle, squealing loudly as she soaked herself. Her fur was mostly white, so the mud clung to her quickly, darkening her fur but she didn't seem to care. Flopping down, the water in the puddle barely reaching above her stomach, even as she laid down. Giggling, she rolled to get herself thoroughly soaked.

Oh? Natsumi gave a lazy roll and flopped onto her stomach at hearing another feline's cries of delight, the young cub looking about for the sound's owner. "It sounds like someone's having fun~" She commented with a grin of her own as she searched for who this someone was in particular. Mm.. Jungle... jungle.. Oh, there! She finally spotted the certain someone. It appeared to be another leopard cub down below on the ground, playing in one of the many puddles around one of the dens of the pride. One of the newer leopardesses lived in that one, right? The other female looked like she was having fun, but she looked awfully lonely with no one else playing around with her..

Natsumi would fix that! Keeping herself squeaky clean could wait a little while longer. Sitting up and descending down the small flight of steps to the ground below, 'Sumi landed on each giant sized step with two plops at a time, she being smaller than even one of the temple's large steps. Front paws, back paws, front paws, back paws~ Fro-Woah. The small leopard caught herself as she misplaced a paw on the last step down, skipping the step and landing on all fours with a thump. Glancing back and giving a bit of a startled look at the step, as if questioning whether or not she had actually just leapt over the last step with a wag of her tail. Neat! Turning her attention to Aulii'Naia as she approached the other cub, Natsumi flashed a smile. "Hello there! What'cha doing?"  

[Velveteen Angel]

Aulii'Naia's head jerked up when she heard an unfamiliar voice. For a moment, she panicked, thinking one of the older members of the pride had found her out of her families territory, but spotting only a fellow cub, she sighed and relaxed. "Hello!" She returned, realising she probably looked ridiculous lying in one of the dirty puddles, but not particularly caring. She was a cub, so obviously she didn't mind getting dirty, right? Maybe she was like her brother though, who hated getting muddy.

"I'm playing!" She announced, standing up and letting the water drip off her and she smiled back at the other cub. "Do you want to play too?" She asked, hoping she didn't sound too eager. She really wished she had more friends in the pride, but her mama didn't like her leaving their territory much.
