Jumping Frog sits outside her den, looking at the ground, a sad look about her. Which is odd, considering it's a bright and clear morning. The kind of morning she normally would be about, chasing frogs, meeting others, or just wandering and learning. This morning, though, is different. For Jumping Frog wants to plant a garden, but the patch of earth near her den is so over run with rocks, logs and weeds that right now she feels it will never get done. Jumping Frog gives a heavy sigh, her eyes turning to a small turtle shell, in it's hallow are seeds she'd gathered. "It'd be nice to have some help.." she stops, shaking her head and growling at herself. "Nice it would be, but it's only you here, Hop. And sitting here feeling sorry for yourself, and lonely won't get anything done." Pulling herself up, and trying to shake off the mood, Jumping Frog sets to work. First, pulling up and moving the smaller of the rocks.

Running. He was running again. Though, usually he'd be running out of sheer enjoyment, today he was running to get those stupid thoughts out of his mind, running to work out those tense muscles. Movement-in-the-Grass had been having sad thoughts lately, and he didn't want those! His thoughts were all about that doe he had seen so long ago! Well... it hadn't been that long ago, but it sure felt like it!
He felt obliged to see her again, but as luck would have it, he couldn't seem to find her anywhere! He had begun to watch the pond where he met Jumping Frog every day, but after a few, he had gotten frustrated, which left him here: running.
He ran hard, hooves slamming into the ground, head trained forward, ears pinned back. But what was that, up ahead? He threw out his limbs and skidded to a stop a good distance away. He perked up a little, if only physically, and strained his eyes to pick out exactly what he was seeing. Was that.... the doe he had met a while ago?

Absorbed in her work, Jumping Frog doesn't hear anything but her own puffing breath and the occasional thud of stone on soil. However, after several minutes, she does get that spine-tingling one sometimes feels while being watched. Pulling herself up to full height, she turns, carefully scanning the area behind her. Nothing but green, and shadows, broken now and again by brown earth or blue-clear water. "Hello?!" she calls, hoping someone is there. At the very least, there'd be someone to talk to. she thinks.

He strains his eyesight for a few moments longer and decides that there could be no mistaking that striking doe for any other. Happiness having filled the green buck, he straightens up and calmly walks forward out of the tall grasses and announces his presence. "Hello, fairest of does, Jumping Frog. Sorry if I frightened you, my dear. I was merely pleasantly surprised by having found you once more. Took me a moment to believe the beauty my eyes were beholding."
He walked until he was standing next to the doe, still a respectable distance away so as not to invade her space. But he took the chance to look the gorgeous creature over once more while a dazzling smile took over his muzzle.

Jumping Frog blushes at his words, a smile blooming on her face. "No worries, you didn't frighten me. I just couldn't see who was watching. I'm glad it was you." her blush deepens, she'd not meant to say that last bit out loud. Well, not really, flirting and such is something she's still new to. "What brings you here?" Hopefully Movement-in-the-Grass has time to stay and chat, or help.

He brings his gaze over to her lavender eyes and replies, "I was out running, and out of nowhere this beautiful coat catches the corner of my eye and I had to stop to double check, to make sure I wasn't just seeing things. But now I'm here...." He looks around to see what the doe was upto, "With you..... May I ask what you're doing?" Brow furrowing as he struggles to figure out what she's working on. Obviously some sort of... re-arrangements...

Impossibly she blushes even more, wondering how much of his words are flirtatious gusto, and how much is true. "I'm clearing a garden. Been collecting seeds for a while.." she nods to the turtle shell "..and finally decided to plant them." Jumping Frog looks around, then back at Movement-in-the-Grass. "Wanna help?" She tosses out the question as though the best thing in the world is gardening. Not that she's got much experience at it, but it being something new to her, Jumping Frog views it as a new encounter. Thus, to her - even if only for this first try - it is a great joy.

When she mentions the word 'garden', he looks around confused for a moment, but then it all becomes clear to him. She wants to plant and take care of plants! Though he finds this somewhat odd, as they live in a swamp infested with plants and flowers, he simply says, "Of course! But.... what do we need to do first?" He is lost as he has no idea how to go about such a thing, and looks to the doe for guidance here.

Jumping Frog grins, happy that he's willing to help. "First, is to finish clearing the rocks from the spot I've plotted out. I managed to get some of the bigger ones, but that one there..." she tilts her head to a large rock a few feet to her left. "...is too big for me alone to move. I dug out one side hoping I could push it over, but no luck." She turns back to Movement-in-the-Grass, looking him up and down, then nodding to herself. "You could do it." she says, with utter confidence in her voice.

His gaze followed hers as she spoke and pointed out the boulder in question. When she looked back over at him, and over him, he beamed, standing taller and put on his most charming smile. Not wanting to say anything stupid, he merely nodded and walked over to the rock, planting his shoulder up against it. He gave it a slight nudge, testing it, and it swayed just the slightest bit. He was sure he could move it... but where was he moving it to? He stood back and inquired, "Where is it going to go? Just forward far enough? I could start pushing and you could tell me when to stop, I suppose." He looked around the rock, trying to understand where her garden was supposed to end.

Her mind, still in control of her eyes, which were still looking over Movement-in-the-Grass, stuttered when he'd asked where the rock is going. Blinking, and scrambling to get her wits back in order, Jumping Frog looks around. "Uhh, back to.." a pause, her brain trying to visualize the garden. Jumping Frog hadn't thought that far ahead, just wanting the blasted thing out so she could plant. That's it. "Back by the den entrance." she answers, walking around the boulder, making sure the path is clear. After moving her seeds to the other side of her entrance path - or, rather, what will someday be the entrance path - Jumping Frog nods at Movement-in-the-Grass. "All clear."

He waits patiently for her to decide, not really noticing her stutters or her pauses. He takes the time to look around the garden himself, and try to familiarize himself with it and where things are in it, so that he may prove to be more useful than in the way. The entrance, she said. He followed her with his gaze and when she declared the way clear, he nodded at her once and then applied his shoulder to the large rock, pushing slowly forward and slightly upward to get it to tip back. Digging his hooves into the ground, they sink in a little, but soon enough the rock lifts and begins to move. With steady pressure, it makes its way across to where the doe had indicated. Once there, Movement takes a step back and watches the boulder rock forward and back lightly until it settled."There!"

"Thank you!" she exclaims, as much for the rock moving as the show, since she'd been eying Movement-in-the-Grass the whole time. "Now, we should be ready to plant. First, we'll need to scrape up a layer of soil where the seeds will go. Then, because I want the flowers and plants to look like they got here on their own, we'll just scatter the seeds around, cover them with the soil we'd scraped up, water them and we'll be done." Jumping Frog takes a deep breath after finishing. So excited to finally plant, that that all came out on one lungfull of air.

He listens to her as his eyes wander the area that she had designated for the garden, as if he were trying to picture what she was saying actually happening. Sometimes this helped him remember things, and he definitely didn't want to stumble about like he did last time he met Jumping Frog, so he tried his best to keep the list in his mind as she quickly rattled it out. He had also been trying to keep from staring at her beautiful coat, and bright eyes, so he nodded along and when she finished he smiled, turning towards her and started with, "Right. So what should we use to scrape up the soil? And where will we be planting the seeds?" He was ready to go, but he wanted to make sure that everything got done just how she wanted it, and so made sure to ask lots of questions before making any actions.

His first question threw her off. Jumping Frog had been planning on simply digging it up with her hooves, which she says. "Our hooves, just scrape it back into a pile. I hadn't really considered where, yet at least. I suppose anywhere is fine." she looks around the area, trying to plot it out and cursing herself for not doing it earlier. "Just not on the path, the part where my steps have packed the soil." she nods at a stretch of dirt, wide enough for her to pass with a bit of room to spare, that leads from her den out into the swamp.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, Jumping Frog moves over to one section, digging a front hoof in and starting to pull the top layer of soil into a pile.
