Glitch in the System!

I know this is vastly off topic, but seeing as how some people may be unaware of this glitch (since it seems to only affect guilds) I figured I'd make a quick post about it so no one gets confused.

Basically, forum posts in guilds are getting placed out of order and/or deleted in what appears to be a basically random fashion. I checked the Bugs forum but there seems to be little to no official word on it; only the confirmation that this is essentially happening only in guilds. So just be aware that...

1) If you post something, it may not post in order...or at all >.<

2) If something you read seems VASTLY out of order...it probably is.

According to the forums, it's just guilds in generel....which is pissing off the RPers to no end.

Hunh...wasn't aware. Had only heard guilds.

It seems to only be happening at a certain date or time or something; new topics don't SEEM to be effected if this topic is an indication

Yep, it's happening in M&R too. I've watched posts I make come up earlier in the thread than things that were there before I logged on. Verrry odd.

I saw tea's post at the top of the thread and her name was a different colour to everyone elses, so I assumed that was the reason? rolleyes

It's everywhere. They just can't seem to keep their website working it seems.

Of course they can't.
The initial code base was PHP BB 2, which was so riddled with s**t they just rebuilt it from the ground up, without taking it down.
The site has had little to no serious downtime in the five years I've been a member. All of the upgrades, updates and patches are done with the system live which introduces run-time bugs, unexpected behaviour and undocumented features.
Gaia is mostly held together with good will, sticky tape and the prayer and sweat of the developpers.

All of gaia has gone tits up. I've noticed no less than 4 different glitches this last hour.

I think I'll log off and watch mythbusters until all is right with the world. wink
