The Southern Vampire Mysteries series [Charlaine Harris]

The Southern Vampire Mysteries is the first of Charlaine Harris' books that I've read and I have to say that she's quickly becoming one of my favourite authors of the moment.

I'm currently on the 4th book out of 9, Dead to the World, and it's amazing.

Has anyone else read and loved the series?
What's your favourite character?
Does the TV show TrueBlood based off the books annoy you?

I have read the series... and LOVE it! My favorite character is Eric Northman. He isnt much of a character in the beginning... but after reading to all the books out... oh my he is something else!

I completely agree about Eric, there's just something about him that you have to love, even though he's the character to be weary of ><

I also love Alcide Herveaux, he's another of my favourites smile

At first I didn't like Eric but then he grew on me.
I've read thru all 9 books.

Living Dead in Dallas 2
Club Dead 3
Dead to the World 4
Dead as a Doornail 5
Definitely Dead 6
All Together Dead 7
From Dead to Worse 8
Dead & Gone 9

The last book is a collection of short stories called "A Touch of Dead."
I loved books 1-9 but the short stories in A Touch of Dead did nothing for me.

I highly suggest reading thru 1-9.
Book 10 comes out around May 2010.
