I've been to 2 cons and own 1 cosplay outfit:

Neko con
Hampton,Va
Beginning on Nov.

Middle of June

My cosplay is a Naruto Suppiden outfit.

I have been to only 1 Con, so far. It was at Akicon. I was only there for 6 hours by myselft but it was funny cause it was my day off. Though I did not cosplay but I want to. Know any place where you can get the outfits?

been to Anime Expo a few times in the past, i forget which specific years though... i did go this year as well and cosplayed
i also attended Ani-Magic '08 (now known as Autumn Dream)
these are my cosplay experiences:

Ani-Magic '08 --> Zolf J. Kimblee, FMA, undershirt version
Ax '09 --> day 1: white Tyki Mikk daytime and dark Tyki Mikk at night, DGM; day2: Edward Elric, FMA

i was lacking in a top hat for dark Tyki... xP
and i cosplayed Ed cuz my friend was Winry and she made me D8

most cosplayers make their own outfits x]
but you can buy them online at like ebay and other various cosplay oriented sites C8
or you can do what i did and just buy pieces of the costume seperately from a department store or something 8O

But I plan to as soon as I can make some money.

I hear that they have wonderful freebies... :drools:


and I would cosplay, but I don't know how to sew...

except for patch jobs.
and I'm not too good at putting on makeup.
lol.

are there classes for that?

Sometimes at cons they have panels for it but you would have to check. If you look it up online you might find how to make a cretin outfit.

I've only been to the NYAF. D: Sadly. And I didn't even cosplay when I went. lol.

But, I've cosplayed at my school, since we had an Anime dress-up day. In which I was Adell from Disgaea, and the following year Akito from Air-gear.

I've gone as Reno from FF7, Kabuto from Naruto, and Hamel from Violinist of Hameln.

No pictures of me as Hamel though, because that costume was horrible. x_x I didn't do well on it at all and it was cheap and falling apart. XD

Anyhow, I generally only go to Ohayocon, because it's so close to me that I can go home for the night and don't need to spend money on a hotel. This year I'm going as Ryoko from Tenchi, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the costume turns out well. biggrin

sweatdrop well, er unfortunaltely i haven't been to any cons yet lol, but would like to go. Does anyone know of any cons that take place in the northeast england??
