here are the catches of the new release... by the way I was wondering is there any way I can get a magma dragon egg from trade? its the only one I'm missing...

I could try breeding you one once my eggs hatch.
My eggs won't hatch for 1-2 days yet, but if you're interested
then I'll PM you with a teleport link if I manage to breed a Magma in the future!

Also, one question:
How long does the drop last for the new dragon eggs?
I can't get any of the new eggs yet since my eggs haven't hatched...
And I didn't even know there were drops for new dragons.
Not that I mind since I'm assuming the eggs will still be available later.

Once the eggs are released, there is usually a 24 hour period where you can grab them exclusively in whichever biome they are dropping. After that, they still drop in their designated biome but are mixed with the other eggs. They're now in the mix. Hope that answers your question.
