"I thought that was all your doing," The man said, looking at the carnage. He still has her firmly labeled as a violent girl.

"Only one or two," Adele said, shaking her head. There were twenty or so monster corpses there. She was really confused now. "I got hurt early on, and the dragon killed the rest." He wasn't really wrong to label her as violent. In most cases she would have killed all of them herself.

"I never saw a dragon here," The man said. He looked up, "This tower is very tall. I don't know if I even want to keep going if all I'm going to face is monsters."

"Well, why were you going up to begin with?" Adele asked him, very calmly.

"Just wandering. I was curious, but now I don't think I care what's on the top anymore," The man said.

"I'll take down the monsters, if you want," Adele offered quietly. She actually was starting to seem a little unsteady, probably from blood loss and a mild toxin from the monster's claw.

"Actually I think you should go get that fixed," The man said.

Adele shook her head, but she knew he was right. She leaned against the wall for support. "It's fine..." she protested.

"It's not. Come on," The man said and lifted her into his arms.

"Put me down!" Adele snapped, trying to get out of his arms. "Don't touch me!" she screamed in protest.  

[UkyoKuonji2004]

"I'll let you down when we get to a hospital," The man said and started running.  

[marixe alcyone]

"Put me down, put me down, put me down!!" Adele cried, protesting. She still struggled to get out of his arms.

The man ignored her and held her tightly as they ran out of the tower.
