Did anyone get dizzy at first?

ok, so maybe it's just my problem..... sweatdrop
the thing is, when i first tried, i'd get light-headed and feel all dizzy and wierd afterwards?

can anyone else relate to that feeling? neutral

lol, when I first started playing oboe I would kinda pace around practicing long tones. This is within like the first couple weeks of me starting. I got so dizzy once. I lost my balance and actually fell over. I just sat there laughing to myself, it surprised me.

Even now after playing to oboe for several more years I still get that dizzy feeling every once in a while.

No I have not gotten dizzy while playing but I always get so nervouse before a consert that I make my self dizzy.

When I first started out playing a wind instrument, I was like that. However, now that problem is fixed (except maybe when working through a study with no places to breathe).

Playing the flute still makes me dizzy though.

Don't worry.
It's perfectly normal, even to this day I get dizzy when playing flute.

Yeah I got dizzy from that too, I felt light headed and then fell twice durring practice. Let's just say that I had to wander around my house playing, to get used to playing as I walked.

During my first band practice on the flute, I got dizzy right after my first song, and I thought something was wrong, but my friend sitting next to me was also dizzy, so I guessed that it might have been a common thing. 3nodding

Not really. I never became dizzy, but I do remember getting headaches at first because of the air flow that was needed.

I did get dizzy from particularly long passages, though. (Marching band, too, but that doesn't count.)

I got dizzy when i started to play flute and then after a while it went away. Then after i started to play oboe i got dizzy. Even today if I blow to hard to long i'll get dizzy.

I played baritone saxophone for several years, which you would think would use a lot of air, but then I picked up flute, and I definitely got dizzy the first few times I tried playing it... you just waste so much air to produce a sound at first! After the first few times, though, I got better about it.

when i first started singing i would get so dizzy hahaha
then it got easier
but now that i haven't been in choir for some time, i'll probably get dizzy all over again.
i guess it's for the better though, cause i can't sing worth s**t

Yeah I used to get a littel dizzy when I first started playing the oboe. It was weird feeling and because I sat in the front of the band, the director would always make me stop playing until i was feeling better. It doesn't really happen now though.
