There was once were two words who thought they were alike. So close they were that the traded places like twins in a far away night. But Quirky was different than her sister, Odd. Quirky was small, kind of funny, and bright. Nothing like Odd, who was tall, strange, & much too quiet to be polite.
No one saw their differences, not until they came close to both. While Odd towered over you with those strange and quiet eyes, Quirky hugs you around the middle and smiled at you like a sunshine child.
Odd was quiet and only followed Quirky, making sure she showed through. No one laughed at Quirky cause Quirky made people laugh…Odd did the same but in such a mean way. Odd was teased while Quirky was lavished and given great praise. But through it all these words stayed the same and close sisters they remained.
They still walk around, Quirky hugging people 'round the middle while Odd simply stares and becomes part of people. One bright and the other slightly dark, but still one in the same. Because Quirky can't be if Odd isn't there, right? Right! So one goes Quirky in all her delight while Odd follows in the same old plight.
