Angel of Darkness
In the darkness, She comes In the darkness, She steals lives Go to sleep, Wake up with hospital bands on What happened?
She marked her victim One, you're safe Tow, you're hers Take it off, You forfeit life She flies through the night, Harvesting the soul she claimed Try and escape her if you dare She'll get angry And kill those around you
The angel of darkness Comes at night She's the Grim Reaper And we are her toys
Translation: This is a variation of the dream I had. In the dream, a blue fairy/nymph flew around, collecting souls and killing people. She picked random people. If you woke up with one hospital band, you were safe and it signified that you had too pure of a heart to be taken so early. If you woke up with two, however, your heart was impure and she would take your life in due time. If you ran from her, she chased you and got angry. To defeat her, you had to seal her in a burlap sack and toss her into the ocean, releasing her evil spirit to return to the heavens. In the end, no one succeeded in doing so.

The Neko and the Rose
She didn't know Which way was up When so many Chewed her up and spit her out. She didn't know Why she lived, Why she breathed, Why she tried. All she knew Was that no on could be trusted. As the neko strived on, She saw many dogs. She fell in love with some Once she found that that's all they were, Dogs, She felt her heart break, For the neko cared too much For the wrong people. Just as she was about to die inside, She saw a rose. A single black rose. So beautiful and meaningful was the rose That it gave the neko confidence. Confidence to live, Confidence to try, Confidence to love. Each time the neko felt down, She visited the rose. The single, solitary, isolated rose. And with each passing day, The neko noticed the rose change.
When the neko first saw it, It was a small bud. But as she kept talking with it And spending time around it, It blossomed. So beautiful and meaningful was the rose That the neko envied it. "Why are you so beautiful and I so plain?" The neko asked. "But you aren't plain," The rose responded. "The reason I am so beautiful is because of you. You paid attention to me, Kept an eye on me as I grew. Without you, I would have surely died, Failed at life," The rose explained. "I'm not special," The neko grumbled. "But you are, Neko-chan. Without you, I had no reason to live. You proved to me The meaning of life. I saw you try And try And try And it made me strive to live. It made me see That even when down, It's possible to be picked up."
So flattered and amazed was the neko with the rose's words Thta she decided to accept herself. Accept who she was, Why she was who she was, And accept The only reason she was alive: The rose. The rose taught her many things in her lifetime. But all beautiful things could not last forever. The rose soon died, Leaving a grieving neko behind. "Do not weep for me, Neko-chan. For I am always with you. You made me so happy And for that, I thank you," Came a small voice. The neko smiled and nodded, Deciding she'd live on for the rose.
Days passed, And the neko continued coming To the same spot she met the rose, Wishing she were still alive. But even in death, The rose still talked with her.
One day, Upon returning to her usual spot, She saw a small bud blooming. It was right where the rose was. Unable to take it, The neko grew angry. No one and no thing could replace her rose. It angered her that this bud would try. The rose was special to the neko. So special that the neko didn't want to live without her. Why did she have to go? Why did she have to leave? Then the neko saw it. The bud blossomed into another black rose. This pushed the neko over the edge And resulted in a decision being made: The neko would die. If she couldn't have her rose, What was the point in living? She understood that The rose wanted her to live on. But why bother When she was alone?
Her only friend was the rose. Her only life was the rose. Her true love was the rose. Her only salvation was the rose. And her guardian angel... The neko stopped. Her guardian angel. Someone meant to look after her Even in death. "Now you see, Neko-chan," Came the voice of the rose. "Though I am not there, I am right by your side, Watching over you all the time." This was enough for the neko. The neko changed her mind, Deciding to carry on, Just for the rose. Now, instead of living for herself, She was living for the rose, too.
Years passed. The neko grew closer with the other black rose, But always holding her first dear to her, Never to be replaced. The neko grew older and older, Until finally, She was about to die. She made her way to her spot. The spot she met the rose. She curled up in a ball And slept the eternal sleep, Joining the rose in the afterlife.
Now, the neko currently stays by the rose's side, Even in death. Because their bond Is stronger than anything anyone could form.
Translation: I wrote this for my twin Blackrose332, showing how much our friendship means to me.
