This pain consumes us
The agony and fear
Of what we knew and how we used to be
Happy and content kids
Living for the moment, not dwelling on the past
But those time never ever last.

Why would the gods allow this pain to be?
It boils our bodies and melts our brains
The confusion and fights
Just takes hold of us and steals the reigns from our grasp
Beating us from behind over and over

Until only the pain seems real to us.
The sores, the welts and bruises
Are all we feel.
No love, Just hate and brutality
Destroying our gate.

This agonizing pain of heartache and stress
bringing us down into a gigantic mess.
No beatings were giving.
Only harsh words and cruelness
bring the mighty *SLAP!*

ONE MONTH AGO:
I never meant to hurt you.
It just came out in the end.
All the fights and emotions
Made me wish that we were dead.

Now I'm sittin'
Jus' thinking of the past
And how much longer
We could have made it last.

But then I get over
What I was yearning for
As I come to realize
I don't really need you anymore.

You are getting along,
I should do the same.
But it is so hard to
Forget how to say your name.

We were the perfect couple
Though we did have our flaws.
Now its been a month
Since we were in each others arms

I see you in the halls every single day
I want to stop and ask "How're you doin' today?"

So I turn my head to blink the tears away remembering the past.

I have some one now,
I'm not even going to lie.
But with him I forget some things
While I remember all for you as the clock ticks on by.
