Babel Text (Modern English verbatim, 1995)

And all the land was one language and few words.

And it was when [they] travelled from Qedem/the east, [they] found a plain in the land [of] Shin`ar and [they] dwelt there.

And [one] man said to his friend, "Come! We'll brick bricks and burn to a burning." And the brick was to them (to) stone, and the clay was to them (to) material.

And they said, "Come! We'll build for us a city and a tower and its head [the tower's] in the sky, and we'll make for us a name, lest we be scattered on the face of all the earth."

And YHWH descended to see the city and the tower which the sons of Man (had) built.

Therefore called its name "Babel," because there YHWH confused the language of all the earth, and from there YHWH scattered them on the face of all the earth.

A more familiar version can be found in the King James Bible, circa 1611:

*In this language, the word "Lord" is not used in reference to a god, but more in reference to a king, captain, or lord of land or a ship. I figured I'd keep it literal though.

@Caffeindated Tea: I think that lord in a religious context simply means ruler of the heavens or heaven's king, so technically your usage is still correct.

Continuing line: And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Translation: Ou këret zejst, Si ny, lyshet ër en, ou en sprokh fej öl här; ou det fej änfïnen ty dä; ou ny bäërholtst fhrä zem ängïkht vïl vejr, tïsh fej här förstelst ty dä.
