Sorry, that isn't steampunk. The Victorians would be disgusted by such ad isplay I'm afraid. Some of the others are good though, if ever so sligtly terrifying, even by our standards (that mask is apocalyptically creepy).

I recall nothing saying that steampunkery has to adhere to Victorian morals.
As.. a related matter, do you happen to know who the artist is?

I agree that it being risque' does not preclude it being steampunk. However, it seems more goth to me than steampunk in particular.

Um. A lot of those pics look like average anime pictures to me.
That first anime picture... A guy in a suit on a couch? Not steampunk at all for me I'm afraid.
A guy in some armor? That would be fantasy, still no steam...
A guy with a sword... Still no steam. Looking RPGish
kids - okay now we're seeing some steam. Goggles, lol
guy with bloody shirt and some swirly designs in back, not steam
guy with globes... I guess it has the explorer motif, but not terribly steam
naked chick - um... Jesus, no.
Other anime pics... Loli. Lolita is not steam.

Ha. Just go on DA and look up 'steampunk'. I highly recommend VladislausDante's gallery. He's got some deliciously steampunk work.

Some of the others are good though, if ever so sligtly terrifying, even by our standards (that mask is apocalyptically creepy). the "victorians" would have been disgusted by just about every Steampunk outfit there ever was. so it's mostly punk instead of mostly steam? I say it's still SP, what with all the leather and buckles and high collar and dystopian-ness. heart

Also everyone seems to be forgetting that Steampunk is the crossroads at which victoriana, gothic, lolita, cyberpunk, industrial, etc. fashions meet. pirate

Kaiya Bravery Also everyone seems to be forgetting that Steampunk is the crossroads at which victoriana, gothic, lolita, cyberpunk, industrial, etc. fashions meet. pirate Yes, but anime and lolita is not the same thing as steam. And I don't know wtf that chick with no clothes is. Pinup? Fap material?

Okay, let us you stop fighting. If you don't think it's steampunk, then okay, but post some of your picture that you think or know that are steampunk. That's what I'm doing. ^.= so start posting!
P.S. The guy who made goggles show it off at Burning Man so yeah.
