Taigeku

PostPosted: Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:18 pm
Taigeku grunted as the short sword shattered against the Temporal Steel. "Damn."

As Tac began to control time, Taigeku followed suit, embracing his psychoportive manipulation to create an immunity from the time ceasing. As he sensed the person above the water, his eyes snapped towards it and widened as he saw the mace careening towards his unarmored chest. He clenched his jaw and strained his psychokinetic prowess away from Tacitus and towards the man above the water while he dove to the his right and onto his side on the pier. As he landed, a giant wall of water would sweep over the man running towards him, with enough force to wash away a car.

However his prowess couldn't seem to break away from this irritating clicking resontion. It was almost haunting, his prowess began to grow weaker and weaker, he felt as if the wall of water was the last drop from the can of Coke, so to speak.

The younger Tacitus vanished under the wave of water, his mace gone along with him, though it was quite clear he had not been affected in the least. A moment later his mace spun to the ground at the end of the pier where he was projected to land, skittering along across the solemn simulacrum. Where the mace had been the younger Tacitus now stood, spinning and rolling over a facimilie of nature. His skin was split in several places where normally there would be grass stains, his blood flowing slowly in a thick orange and green paste. Each of the three flashed briefly and a cascade of light passed over the younger Tacitus, healing his wounds. This brief pause gave Taigeku a moment's reprise, but the mental link remained, still trying to feed off hyperelevated brain functions, slowly sinking lower to redirect whatever it could.

Taigeku closed his eyes for a moment and concentrated. He need to break this link somehow, telepathic means were futile... being the more prowess he used, the more the being syphoned his kinetic energy. But how? If Taigeku couldn't defeat Tacitus soon, he knew what would happen... his brain would simply stop and thusly, he would die... again.

As he opened his eyes, he sought to mentally attack Tacitus, repeating the message that would make him feel as though he was on fire. He strained his focus, so much so that he began to tremble and his muscles would tighten. The blood halo above his head would turn into almost a constant stream as he focused. His prowess would begin to radiate from him, making the water surrounding the peir jump up in tiny whisps and the tiny pools of water around his feet begin to be pushed outward.

The flickerTac came back into stark relief against the world, his features illuminated with a dark light that seemed to seperate him from the gleaming metal all around. His firearm rose the last few inches to become level with Taigeku and fired off a three round burst aimed at the man's chest. Each bullet was fired at speeds surpassing that of most railgun slugs, but the speed was not the true threat by any means. Each of the three were slightly phased off the timeline, giving them an almost ethereal quality. If Taigeku managed to become incoporeal they would hit him as if he were solid, and if he remained solid they would rip apart organics with a flurry of temporal energy which could simply erase small portions of the man, thus preventing regeneration. If Taigeku managed to create a nonphysical barrier it would blow through unhindered, while physical barriers would probably get blown to hell by the extreme speed and momentum behind the bullets.

Before any onlookers could see what happened, Taigeku fell to his knees and coughed/puked up a puddle of dark Hellspawnic blood into the peir. The three round burst hit his massive chest and passed directly into him, tearing apart his lungs and heart.

He had mere seconds.

As he fell, as the puke streamed from his mouth, Taigeku glared up at Tac with his dark eyes and opened his mouth as if to puke again. Taigeku wasn't able to stop the bullets from hitting him, but he had managed to focus his psychokinetic prowess to stop the bullets while inside of him. As Taigeku's long blood covered tongue fell from his agape mouth, and his lips curled back the three bullets rocketed towards Tac from Tai's mouth. This attack was probably completely ineffective, because in reality, Tai was running out of energy, his concentration was broken, and ... you can't fire a bullet very successfully without an ignitor; but what the hell else was this dying hellbreed suppose to do?

The bullets would fly towards Tac as a measily 700fps, aka- tooeasytododge (its greek, don't worry). Before the Hellspawnic's face met the ground and his body was enveloped in his dark blood.

Taigeku was dead.

Tacitus never killed anyone...

Tacitus strode forward, the mace forgotten as he plucked the bullets from the air, his hand all but a blur as he so easily retrieved the projectiles. Around Taigeku the silvery terrain errupted with metal teeth that rose in a ring around the hellspawn. The man would, in fact, not be dead but frozen in that brief moment before life shattered and the body was left as a husk. Some might think the man cruel for denying the finality of death to those who fell in the sights of his guns, but it was self righteousness that spurned his actions. He looked to the three bullets held between his four fingers, "Thank you, I'll set aside a nice alcove for you, 23-67." The ground began to dissolve away as this world gave way to the next and the oblivion beyond time and space. Surges of temporal energy danced around Taigeku's body as the poor creature was locked away forever in the halls of Genesis.

...but thats just a technicality to clear his heavily laden conscience.
