Kinak made his slow way through the trees, each step slow and calculated. He was in unknown lands, Nash off to hunt as walkers do, leaving him alone to wander. The small red mouse that had bonded herself to him slept peacefully in a tent on his back under the shadow of his trees. In his bag clinked the mouse's teaset, a sharp noise against his plodding hooves.
The giant nosed for sweet young grass that had started to bud. He used his small antlers to dig up shoots and disturb grasses. He drew in as much grass as he could to feed his massive bulk. The giant was relaxed here in the warm sun and the scent of dug up earth filling his nostrils.
He grazed as he moved across the meadow getting closer and closer to the bushline. He small antlers got tangled in the underbrush, causing the giant to raise his head taking some of the branches with him. Rumbling to himself, he sniffed the bushes in hopes for strawberries. But he got another scent. Feathers and horse. His ocean blue eyes peered into the shadows of the bushes, beard almost touching the ground as he looked.
Pawing the ground with an unseen hoof, the giant called out, "Is someone there?"
