Nash made another yowling sort of sound as he was suddenly licked - this one definitely more of a distressed noise. "Kinak!! Ew!" he yelped, pawing at his face rather ineffectually. Once the larger stallion backed off, he quickly shifted forms for the sole purpose of being a bit bigger himself - then attempted to shoulder-check the other. Not that it worked too well, since Kinak was still quite a bit bigger than him. Still, he had to show his mate how much he "appreciated" that licking somehow.
"You scared me," he muttered then, nuzzling at the other's chest slightly in return. When Kinak asked if he knew where they were, Nash turned to look out over the landscape - seeing snow, snow and more snow. Oh, and some ice. "Not really," he answered, ears flicking back and forth. "I thought you did. Isn't this kind of place your ... thing?"

The cat snorted softly at the other's explanation of the whole snow thing. It was still a bit rambly and confusing but he was used to how Kinak talked by this point. "It's obvious that snow is here," he couldn't resist pointing out, though.
He could tell that the other was distracted, though, also looking around them a bit warily. In all honesty, though, he wasn't worried. There hadn't been too many things they'd run into that the two of them couldn't handle together. With that thought, he considered trying to get Kinak to lighten up a little and stick around - he'd been having fun hiding in the snowdrifts.
But the other's nervous attitude convinced him maybe it would be best to just follow. This time. "All right, I'm coming. Don't worry so much," he murmured, trotting forward to follow in the huge stallion's hoofprints.

Savva snarled. His ears went back against his head. His tail thrashed behind him. There were two stallions in his lands! And one was..like him. tall, strong, heavy, and imposing, the unpelted stallion made Savva quiver with excitement at the fight brewing inside him. Standing and shaking the snow from his scales, he made himself known to the others. He reared, an effort for him, and let loose a war cry that echoed through the snowladened wastes.
Molodoy heard Savva's cry and raced to see what had her adoptive father seeking blood. Her claws cut the ice and her maw hung open. If he were in trouble she would fight her best as well.
Kinak had walked deeper into the stallion's territory instead of away from it as he had hoped. His ears pricked forward as he heard heavy breathing. Then he saw it, the giant of a kirin rearing up to issue a challenge.
"Nishka," kinak grimaced, "Stay back. He...he is a giant of frost. I do not wish you hurt." He moved in front of Nash. Using his shoulder, he moved his horn to his lips. Exhaling sharply, the horn sang in response to the frost giant's bellow. Letting the horn drop back to his side, Kinak pawed the ground and flashed his small but sturdy antlers at the incoming male not noticing the polar bear racing towards his flank.
