((Pending his cert!))

"Hello there, nephew." Radu slunk his way into the open, smirking toothily. It was night, but unlike most members of the Draculesti family, Radu didn't exactly slip in and out of the shadows. He was an array of dazzling colors, glittering even in the dim starlight. His teeth though, those were the signature Draculesti fangs. And his eyes too, remorseless and red as his father's were.

He looked at Hellhound, then tilted his head to one side. "Is nephew correct. You are Vlad's grandson. His daughter is my niece so you're... my grand-nephew?" He squinted. "That doesn't sound right." He almost looked normal for a moment, innocently puzzled. Then he barked with cruel laughter. "It doesn't really matter, does it?"

Hellhound's entire body was covered in eyes. Of course he noticed his uncle (or was it great-uncle?) sneaking up on him. Still, he chose not to respond until Radu made himself known. He didn't want to dignify Radu with any more attention than necessary. He found Radu intrusive and irritating and always wished he'd give up these pointless hang out sessions.

"Hellooooo," he rattled. His voice wouldn't ever sound anything like the voice of a normal soquili no matter what he tried. He didn't have lips or a tongue. That made things challenging. "What is it?" he asked, hoping that Radu would make it quick.

Radu grew all the more amused at Hellhound's obvious discomfort. That boy looked freakish, even for a Draculesti. Radu had thought his skull face was a mask when they first met. He'd almost tried to pull it off him. The paws were strange too. It gave him a skinwalkery look. Or something. All that combined with Hellhound's scrawny frame made him look like some sort of starving demon. If only he acted tough enough to match his looks.

"I'm still looking for your grandfather, my brother," he said. He'd been trying to find Vlad since he arrived in these wretched backwards lands. Vlad had such a big personality, Radu had thought it would be easy to track him. Apparently that wasn't the case. Radu looked for almost a year and all he found was his weirdo nephew. Grand-nephew. Whatever. He'd met the mother a few times too, but she flew into a rage whenever he so much as mentioned his brother. He didn't think he stood much of a chance there.

"And I sssstill don't know where he isss." Hellhound lisped when he hit the Ss. Sometimes he could manage them, but sometimes not. Talking took more focus than he had sometimes.

He didn't bother facing his skull at Radu while they spoke. Hellhound understood that it was considered polite to face the person you were talking to, but that was because most soquili had eyes in their actual skull. He had no eyes in his skull but plenty all over him. He figured he was facing his conversation partner no matter which way he was.

"Why don't you just asssk around mares and find out who hasss been bitten?" he asked, sarcastic. He'd never met his grandfather, only heard stories. From what he gathered, Vladislav Draculesti was something of a womanizer. The way his mom saw it, his grandfather had a mare to nibble by his side almost all the time.
