Orrin hoofed his way down the path. He had heard that an long time friend was back in the area and he was hoping to catch up with the stallion. Man had life changed for him since the last time they had talked. Orrin was sure that the other stallion had stories of his own. The brightly colored stallion hoped that he would catch his friend when he had some time to spare for catching up. Or rather that the stallion even wanted to catch up...
It wasn't that they had a falling out or anything but Orrin has found that sometimes friendships don't make the test of time and distance and this could end up being one of those occasions.

Yasei stretched out in the sunlight, a bunch of apples at his side. He was happy the two leggers knew how to store food for the winter. Otherwise spring time would be apple less! And after that long trek to get back into the area he was happy to relax and enjoy some snacks today. He missed being in the area but he enjoyed traveling so much too. Getting to see all the new places. But sometimes there was no place like home. And this was his after all. He would also need to make a point to check with the ponies he had left behind when he went off to explore.
More specifically his friend Orrin. When he left the stallion had just found out he was going to have foals. He was interested in seeing him and his family and how they are all.

Now if Orrin remember correctly Yasei's place was just over this hill. He had a small place that he retained as his home even though he spent most of this time away. He made his way over the hill and oh, there it was! And even better there was Yasei, lounging about with some apples. It didn't look like anyone else was with him so hopefully it was the perfect time.
"Hey Yasei!" He called out as he pushed his way through the slightly over grown path that led to his site. The branched of the brush, brushing against his sides. "Wow, has it been a long time! I heard you were in the area and I want to come and say hey." Orrin gave him a grin. "Hope it's a good time?"

And just as he was thinking of Orrin of course the stallion would show up. He always had good timing like that. "Hey yourself!" He sat up and twitched his ears. "Come on in." He waved him forward as Orrin started to make his way forward and he moved to make room in the smaller open area for the stallion. "I know right? I was just thinking about you and your family. I was going to come back in the next day or so to see you." He offered Orrin an apple. "Man it's really great to see you. I guess now is as good as time as any to catch up huh?"

Emuishere was very excited. Today she was journeying from the dessert to the forested land to meet up with a very special pony... Yasei. They had met while he was traveling and well aside from the fact that she seemed to be very fond of him, he made the world sounds so interesting. She loved to bask in the sun for hours and nap, occasionally chase a mouse. But the tales he told... And when she showed so much interest he invited her to join him! How could she possibly pass up a chance like that?
She knew that she barely knew anything about the stallion and so she would need to make sure she kept her curiosity in check. Not just for safety but for her heart... She knew nothing about him, and the last thing she needed was to fall for this guy and he has a mate! It would be just her luck.
Her blue eyes widened as she saw all the tress standing in front her. She stopped and just gawked at them. The trees on the mountain were barren and short but these trees where huuuuge and full of life! She couldn't help but stare... This was where Yasei grew up. Emuishere was raised in a parched dry dessert that rarely had trees and those trees never looked like these ones!
The blue eyes mare glanced around to see if there was anyone looking and she slunk her way over to one of the tress and she give it a sniff. "Whoa..." Her nose give a twitch and she took another sniff. What on earth was that scent? It was rather pleasing... She walked forward and rubbed her side against the trunk and as the bark grated against her pelt she felt a pleasurable sensation. It was like teh bark was scratching her side! This place was AMAZING.
She wandered further into the trees giving them a sniff and a rub every so often... Soon the smell of hte pine trees was all around her and she lost track of the path she wanted to follow. Her ears gave a twitch and she rubbed her cheek against the side of the tree as she realized she lost sight of the path and she tried to back track. She had to sniff the trees looking for her scent to lead her back. She did eventually make her way back... A good thing she had a good sense of smell.
She gave a shake of her head and made her way down the path toward Yasei's place. He would certainly be surprised by her arrival. She just hoped that the landmarks he used continued to be accurate of where he lived.
