It was the idea of freedom, as much as family, that settled Ollie so decisively at the towers -- the ability to come and go as he chose, to explore the human world, to make himself useful. He'd never even entertained the idea of restraining himself to the world of Halloween, of being trapped in a classroom.

Here and now, at least for the moment, he thought it had been a mistake.

He came through the portal into an unfamiliar world that sat somewhere between the winding magic of the tower and the overblown, commercial fascination of humanity. The clothing varied; the technology was baffling; the size of the place was intimidating.

His goal was the library, though even that was likely to overwhelm him, once he found it. For now, he wandered down the street, barefoot and overdressed in layers of coat, only his eyes poking out to dart around and look at everything.

For his own part, Ollie looked like a lost first year, just stumbling his way into Amity.

Lily had a small bag in hand as her shoes clipped and clopped down the twisted and cracked sidewalk. A soothing sound reminiscent of hoof-beats. There was a satchel tied around her waist, next to a large jade orb and several pieces of glittering gold jewelry which carried up to and adorned her head and horns. She looked in all appearances to be a very stereotypical Conquest horseman, all except for her dress which seemed almost scandalously short - just below the knee. Modern, yet still following a certain traditional style. It was purple and rich with gold screen accents of a fu dog.

She almost didn't seem to notice the other party at first. They blended right in with their jacket camouflage. Not that a jacket without a head was all that unusual in Halloween.

In the end, the antlers gave them away. She turned and looked quite confused. "What are you doing?" She tried not to have a judging tone in her voice and yet there was one. Slight, but very much there.

She certainly wouldn't be alone in her judgment, at least: Ollie looked small and grimy and unkempt, in his out-of-season furs and the little shock of a sloppy ponytail at the back of his head. He peered up at her through layers of coat, and almost immediately, his eyes lit up: bright and big and gold in all the dark Death fashion.

There was so much unfamiliar here, but at least Lily looked like something he recognized, in her Conquest robes and her horns and the expression on her face. A brief spot of something known, in a sea of the strange.

"Oh! I'm lost. Do you know about the Library?" He put an odd kind of emphasis on it: just a little awed.
