"Come home with me." It was just four syllables that was said in the middle of the night, The moon at its shining half that made the space shades of black and white. "I have to visit slash report in, come along with me." he tried to persuade, snuggling into the bed, sleep evident in his voice, making it groggy.

The demon laid comfortably on his side of the bed, half covered by the sheets - the side the monster had placed himself. One would think the green-eyed student took up most of the bed. That wasn't the case. It was because Uru rarely moved from his spot and Damien would make his way over. Or Uru pulled him over. Tonight, themonster laid nestled against his chest, beneath the crook of his arm. His own head leaned against the chestnut hair of the boil. The pillow beneath him shifted as he tilted to gaze at the sleeping body beside him. He was almost there himself, honestly. A long day of watching boils and ghouls roam around the Maul, a brief stint at the gym before returning to his own place. He was perfectly content to have his boil friend and just sleep peacefully into the night.

Until the aforementioned question was posed.

"Come home with me."

Damien's home was a pack. A pack of hell hounds. He was a monster. Maybe it was stereotyping and presumptuous, but he doubted they lived in a 500 estate. However, that wasn't what worried him. It was the Alpha. How would he take to a hellhound of another pack coming in. Let alone that he was dating Damien...

"When?" He asked, hoping that his sleepy tone would mask his nerves. He had hoped Damien knew that he'd follow the older boil wherever if he had asked.

"Tomorrow" Damien said without skipping a beat from his curled up position during the naptime. The old boil had heard that he was no longer dorming on campus and decided a checkup was needed. Normally it was a phone call, or a letter but the request was for this to be in person.

Just. flipping. great. It had been a long time going back to the village. one where FEARbuty went without their knowledge and hes was going home as a different creeple. with another different creeple in tow. "Its probably going to be an interesting experience." to say the very least.

Tomorrow. They would leave tomorrow for Damien's pack. To "check in". His mental gears began to turn as he turned his gaze to the 90% repainted ceiling. First thought was why would the pack request the monster to return home? The term wasn't over just yet, a few more weeks. Second was why they hadn't contacted him through modern means such as skelephone or mail? Then again, Brenna made it a point to show up at his door unannounced on many occasions. Slowly the gears worked into overdrive as he began to think what the pack would say to him being a demon, being a lone hellhound - unaffiliated wkth a pack, being a potentionally threat who may attempt to usurp.

Shaking his head, he turned off that train of thought. He'll just keep his mouth shut the entire time. Yes, that would be best. Do not talk unless spoken to, stand up straight and keep eye contact with any of whom may be talking to you. It was as if his conscious was dredging up the memories of manners and etiquette.

Uru nodded against the boil's head. "An interesting experience. Putting it lightly?" He murmured as his fingers danced slowly, consecutively - index, middle, ring, pinky, thumb, index, middle - "I'll pack tomorrow for us."

The green fuzzed hound settled in deeper,, sleep taking its effects. "Don't need much, jus carry a change of clothes for y'self, i got stuff there for me." he slurred out, nodding off at the tempo of the fingers. there was no point worrying about it, he could deal with stuff as they come up. he assured himself. Further into the blankets he went until all that was left exposed was his head. "You may even get ta sleep in my old bed." he informed after a yawn escaped him.

He has stuff there for himself. Obviously. It was the monster's home, he would be foolish to think that he had picked up everything he had and brought it here. Or it could mean there have been stuff there from four Octobers ago, which may not fit him anymore. He was going to pack light, that was for sure. Probably just the necessary things, a change of clothes, maybe rough it out in his natural form if things get worse. If he recalled correctly, there was a bag in one of the eight boxes by the door - the one labelled "Misc.2". The shuffling beside him shook him from his thoughts to see Damien cocooning further into the blankets. Drawing the comforters from the demon, which is no surprise. Uru was content with sleeping with no - or half - the covers anyway. He could have stayed awake for hours thinking about what could go on tomorrow, what could be said tomorrow, but he reigned in his thoughts. Whatever happened, it wasn't about him. It was for Damien. He was accompanying him. The demon pressed down the boil's hair, "Fine, go to sleep then." It wouldn't be long that he mentally growled his thoughts into silence so he could sleep.

Sleep did not come easy for the smaller hound with the green hued fur, as he rolled the various scenarios inside his head space, the one that was shared. He had to mentally prepare for a variety of things that could happen. In time, he found his peace and daybreak came. The rising of the pumpkin sun meant another day, the day. To save on FEAR, he opted to ride the bus out to the deeper parts of the woods. It was more dense than the ones at Amity, with no sealed off areas, as if he wasn't aware why they were like that. These woods were untainted by many passerbys. The bus ride did not go straight to his home, the last stop was still a fair walks off, getting off the bus with Uru in tow, he walked, feet following the path it knew well. "you didnt have to crowd on me when we were on the bus you know." the older boil began to tut and huff along the path he knew.

Uru spent a brief moment between breakfast bites packing a small pack of a few things. Premade coffee, a few changes of clothes, snacks, among other necessities took up most of the space. The boil made sure everything was in its place before he slung the pack over his back, following the older boil out to the bus.

The ride was not enjoyable.

"It would have not been an issue if that ghoul was not so intent of rubbing her chest on you." He growled, keeping his pace behind the green-eyed hound. That particular ghoul was not so young and obviously gifted. It seemed like she inched ever so closer with every bump and rattle on the road. Of course, instinctively, the demon interjected and remained steadfast between the two.

Only one individual can rub their chest against the monster.

The demon hound took the scenery in, finding his bearings, but mostly amaze at the primordial forest. Untouched by modern civilization - at least the effects are minimal to notice. Keeping his nose to the air, he was not picking up anything different than nature. So how was Damien finding his way?...

"How big is your pack, exactly?"
He questioned, hoping his tone of voice didn't give away his nerves.

Damien could only stare incredulously at the demon situated behind him and following his lead. "It was a crowded bus, Uru butt." and it got even more crowded when said demon decided to wiggle his way next to him and stuck like glue. The rocks and foliage remained mostly the same, he was walking without thinking about the path. "about I would say 100 to 200 population, but I have been gone for a few Octobers now, who's to say?" he pondered, stepping over the large root that used to trip him up in days before.

"The Industry is logging and mining for Physical labor, with other goods and services that we can offer and that we specialize in, so we have the workers, the clan caretakers, kind of like the moms of the whole group, so to speak, The Elders and then theres you and me." he finished, turning to the right and the trees began to thin out slowly. "We are getting closer, you can probably start telling by now if not earlier."

He continued to walk after that.

"We could have just ran out here ourselves. Would have been nice." The offhand comment as he stepped down on a lifted, thorn to keep pace. He took most opportunities to let down his fur, especially if it was justified. However, this was Damien's trip so he was going to do whatever the monster was going to do.

Uru paused at the number, his head lifted from watching where his foot fell to the back of the boil's head. His experience with packs was limited, but perhaps it was different out here outside the trio. "Cocytus consisted of Naerina, Brenna, my uncle, and me. The staff - while considered pack - weren't directly related to her. So... your pack is twenty or forty times Brenna's." He voiced. Cocytus was small, but its influence was widespread and deeply rooted. It didn't need to be big when it was under Naerina's leadership. She had two other packs in a vice grip. Embezzlement, blackmail, threats, it hadn't really mattered as long as the result was that the two obeyed. But that was a demon pack. A demon pack lead by a vastly corrupted demon who believed she was the be all end all of ... well, all. So what was Damien's pack like?...

"Your pack sounds more like an entire village than a family." Uru commented before doubling back. "Not that they aren't. It just sounds very... organized and communally systematic."

Uru followed closely with his arms across his chest, letting the boil's words sink in. The pack worked together closely - together - for the betterment of the group as a whole. The pack had caretakers and Elders. That is to say their alphas must be related to Damien. That meant he was going to meet Damien's parents. Parents who are pack alphas. Alphas that will judge him. Alphas that will see that he is a lone wolf with absolutely no pack affiliation. Probably think he has an ulterior motive getting with Damien to usurp the pack leadership.

What was their stance on their boil being with another boil!?

Uru stopped abruptly, looking concerned to his boilfriend.

What is he walking into?

"no." Damien stated firmly "The clan does not know you, nor has it seen myself in a long time, we approach like Diplomats. Even if I am trying to approach as sneaky as possible" in his eyes, it was the smartest choice as he continued to make way to the direction where the trees thinned and the acrid smell of smoked wood was coming from. The town itself was built of wooden house dens, scarelings running around the edges of the woods, playing in their proverbial backgrounds. The town loved to smoke their meats, taking advantage of the flavorable wood to smolder and bread that was baking. The farm that lay in the inner part of the village had a satisfactory bounty, considering it was remodeled and the space was enlarged when he left.

Observing the layout of the town from the woods meant that very quickly, the scarelings will find them. They are practically the early warning system, as they shout and circle their prey at a distance, watching, ready to shout for the guards if needed. streaks of cyan, magenta and yellow in its various combined hues watched the visitor with the green and the foxfires they were playing with ran up to the duo without a care, very energetically hopping up on their legs and running around them.

The hellhound was acting different, not immediately bending down to greet the minipets, but giving one a pat before walking further toward the entrance, unslouched and without the telltale grin on his face, it was a neutral expression, direct. "We have a meeting with your clan elder."

it would have been more imposing if not for the pile of foxfires gathering around them.

They could have ran here naturally and saved the seeds and time, then shifted back as they approached the bus stop. He thought to himself with a grump. However, he understood what the boil was stating. This was his trip, he had the reigns. It made sense that they would approach in a way that Naerina would. Though, she was always one for grand standing and grand entrances. The demon hellhound stood close by, making mental note of the layout of the town's layout from his viewpoint. The smell hit him quickly and immediately reminded him of one of the most raw scents of his boilfriend; smoke, smokey, smolder of meat and wood.

His head jerked up, attention focused onto the scarelings that were roaming around the outer limits of the town. "Are those?..." Were these little ones suppose to be this far out? They also had foxfires, but they weren't exactly intimidating or ferocious. Did parents let their scarelings run free? Arguably, he could see the applications in letting them do so...

He never had that.

He couldn't remember the last time he heard scarelings as content and happy as this.

Uru stood straight and kept his head high as he trailed behind Damien. His head remained forward but eyes ever moving to capture every detail.
