This is a private roleplay between my Jayashri and LydaLynn's Riidkii. Please do not post. <3
It seemed as if winter had finally passed. The bitter winds were less frigid, the snow had mostly gone away. The sun sat high upon its springtime throne, looking down joyfully on all its subjects. Although the trees had yet to bud and the grass was a pale yellow, the air had a sweet scent to it. Jayashri closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, relaxed by the warming sun and lovely change in scenery.
It hadn't been long since the petite unicorn strayed from the Kateri herd. It was lovely to be around those of her own kind, but she found them to be rather uneducated in their abilities and powers. She didn't blame them, of course, as they were only foals when their parents passed, but the purist snob in her wished that the herd had been as perfect as she'd hoped. While she cared deeply for its members, and would likely return someday, she wished to be able to contribute to something bigger than just survival.
Sighing, the mare opened her eyes again. As lovely as listening to the birds' tunes and basking in the sunlight was, Jayashri ached to continue on her journey, curious for what the lands ahead may hold. She grinned excitedly. This was the farthest she'd been from home, and the closest she'd been north. The mountains that had once appeared to be so far away now loomed before her, and the view took her by awe. The unicorn had never seen something so big and powerful, and even with the treeless leaves littering the sea of evergreens, the snow-capped wonders seemed so alive. Full of new energy, she continued on.

Orange eyes widened at the unexpected voice. Had she really been so careless as to not notice somebody nearby? Cautiously, the mare moved toward the voice. She wished to catch a glimpse of her greeter before meeting them face to face. Plus, the thought had occurred to her that they may not be talking to her in the first place.
She eased her way down the path as quietly as she could, ducking off the side of it after a few paces. The lack of coverage the early springtime was less than desirable, but she felt that the trees at least provided some protection. At the very least, they'd have to think before deciding on a pursuit.
When she saw the flash of red through the trees, the mare paused. Jay squinted, examining the stallion. Was he... A unicorn? His horn was of magnitudes she'd never seen before, and she wondered about his purity. Feeling that he wouldn't be an immediate threat, though, she stepped back onto the path.
"Hello," she replied. A small, polite smile crossed her face as she did so. Well he certainly looked like a unicorn.
