Joto had all but forgotten what it was like to have cubs around him constantly. Even with his grandkids being raised around him, he had the luxury of choosing when and if he decided to be in their presence, but not with this. There was always one of them around, and although he loved them dearly, it drove him nuts. He hadn't gotten a solid sleep or nap in ages, and the bigger they got the less time he had to sleep. They always wanted something.
All he wanted was quiet for a nap, or even just uninterrupted time with Jugnu. She was as inaccessible to him as naps were at this point as well. If they weren't using him as a rock to climb, they were all over her for grooming and feeding.
Lucky for him, he fancied himself wise both within his rank in the pride and outside it. He concocted a plan to lose the kids for several hours, and award him and Jugnu some peace. She had laughed at the idea, which he was not pleased with, but she would thank him later.... Or now, more precisely.
"You laughed, but I did it and they're gone." Joto grunted, as he trudged his way back into their den, looking as if he had just battled an elephant when in reality he had just successfully pried off his cubs and dumped them on his grandchild, and pridal leader, for several hours.
"Safura now has them, and they will hopefully learn something useful or just drive her nuts for the next few hours," He sighed, feeling one of his paws creak from having to pry Danu from his back leg.
"We will have peace and quiet for several hours."

"Ehh," Joto grunted, trudging over and flopping down next to Jugnu, causing a puff of dirt to erupt from beneath him.
"She is one of mine, and she'll do as I ask. Like a respectful child does," Joto affirmed, leaning close into Jugnu to enjoy her warmth and unoccupied state.
"Besides, she has her two sons to help her. And there is the other, and of course they will want to meet the goddess, and so on and so forth," Joto continued, convincing himself more than Jugnu at this point that the idea of dropping their children off with his granddaughter was a far better option than with some of the regular nannies about the pride.
