CYOA: HUMAN STUDIES: SUPERSTITIONS (Sludge)

There was another class posted on the board, done by none other then Professor Winter. Sludge remember her easily, although he wasn't sure what the class was about, nor could tell where it was located. He really needed to learn how to read...

It was lucky he decided to go to her office, for this was part of her requirements, and he found out where the actual class was to be held.

On the day of the class he turned up as expected, at the time that the class would start. It was worth noting that as dumb as he was, Sludge had learned early on how to tell the time. Again, this had taken lots of work on the xenomorphs part but it was imperative he learned how to tell the time, save he didn't miss all his classes.

When he was given a small stack of paper he looked at it in a stupor, holding the pen he was given loosely. There was a lot of words here, and even if he did knew how to read he wouldn't be bothered reading all that mumbo jumbo. And then he was required to 'sign it'? With a small shrug he scribbled on the paper and handed it back to the teacher. She appeared satisfied, and then went on about something called 'superstitions' He listened quetly, unable to make any sense about what she was talking about, before she applied some sort of spell on him, also giving him a small booklet that was apparently really important. and sent him through a portal to the human world.

Sludge was stunned at what he saw once stepping through the portal. He crouched on the ground, eyes wide and staring, trying to capture everything he could see. It was a small town of sorts, though where he was he had no idea. Strange metal machines drove on by. Much like that really long one he saw in the maze but these ones were shorter. People walked past him, but none of them screamed. This was odd, maybe it had something to do with the spell Profess Winter put on him...

He didn't try to scare any humans, aware of the fact he was being supervised, and that if he so much as touched a human he would be in deep doo doo. But that didn't mean he couldn't explore.

The outside of the houses were weird, but Sludge wanted to see what the inside was like! He stood up properly and walked to one of the strange human dwellings, his eyes drawn to a nearby window. A bat was trying to get into the home, though why it was doing that he had no clue.

Thankfully Sludge knew how to open a window, and let the creature into the house.

The inside was so weird! There was strange furniture all around, yet none of them were trying to bite or eat you. The colors appeared rather bright as well.

He could hear the chattering of humans talking, but suddenly the sounds stopped. He peered around, his steps quiet but still making a creaking noise on the floorboards.

He stepped closer to one of them, and just watched as it walk around the room one way, then walked the other way.

And then it was knocking on a piece of wood.

...Why was it doing that?!?

Humans made no sense

Okay, now the human was talking about the knocking on wood thing. It made no sense, so Sludge knocked on the wall three times to see if something would happen if he did it, and if it would make more sense.

It did not, although the human mentioned something about "three knocks of death."

That wasn't a good thing.

At this point, he could hear someone calling out for all the halloween students to return, so he quickly exited the house and went back through the portal.

When offered to write a report, he shook his head. The only thing he could write was scribbles.
