So, he hadn't known her very long and already she wanted him to meet her father. Though, he supposed he didn't see the harm in that, especially if he was going to be hanging around her. If he had children he supposed he would probably like to be informed, at least a little.
Lord knows his parents were always wanting to be in the know, but he wasn't around them right now so he didn't have to worry about it. He wasn't sure IF he would head back to them at all, he rather liked his newfound freedom of being a traveler with no place to call home. Unless his parents sent someone to find him. Then the fun would be over.
But, this was not the time to talk about such things and since she had yet to ask, there was no reason for him to tell. He kind of liked being Aeonus of nowhere than Aeonus of Stonehaven.
"Oh yes, this place is perfect." He said in response to her question and a quick look around himself. It would indeed work very well. "You promise you won't get scared once I start will you?" He asked giving her a semi serious look and then smiling to let her know he was pulling her leg. "Though you could always sit closer to me if you get scared." He gave her a wink, he was MOSTLY joking about that one, but he wouldn't mind it if she did decide to sit closer to him.

He chuckled as he listened to her words and then got a semi serious look upon his face. "You wouldn't get scared? Even if I did this!" He said pouncing at her gently attempting to roar like a lion. "I may use special effects such as that throughout my tale." He said sitting back down with a bit of laughter in his voice. Her sisters seemed to be just like his own siblings.
A nuisance. Mkodi knows he loves them dearly but sometimes he just wanted to be away from them, and well. He was.
He smiled as she gave him cocky little grin and said she'd get close if she got scared. He then pondered for a moment about where to start. "Can you picture it? An empty land of dirt and destruction and a path of rocks and walls ahead?" He said waiting a moment for her to image such a place. "The weather was dreary and it was starting to look like a storm might come and then there is me. Walking on that path deeper and deeper into the rocky crevices. A labyrinth of sorts some call it."
He paused looking at her and gave her a smile. He liked this, he very much liked this. At this point he got up and walked a little ways away so he could re-enact what was about to unfold. "So there I was, walking along, low and cautious. Trying to do my best to figure out how to get out of this strange and desolate place when I saw him." He froze while he was walking, eyes wide. "The largest, meanest lion I had ever set my eyes upon and he was missing an eye." He took his paw and covered his right eye to show her which one it was that was missing. "He growled and roared in a voice that was so unnatural that I realized this lion had to be diseased or perhaps mad. He was covered in scars and battle wounds so I knew that must be it."
He lowered himself to the ground, head looking around as if trying to see a way out. "There I told myself, if I could just race around him and get a high point advantage I would be free of him. But it was then that the lion leaped!." He pounced on Yasmine gently to push her to the ground with him on top. "The lion stood above me, his hot breath on my face, and he growled low and guttural. I knew it was over. I knew it was the end!" He said dramatically before continuing, not move from his spot on top of her. "Then he lifted his paw and I looked in horror and waited for the blow to come. I looked again and saw that a very nasty rock had found itself lodged into the pad of the beast and that's what all the commotion was about. He hadn't eaten or drank anything in a few days since his paw was making it hard fro him to move. So I helped him get it out, fetched him some water from one of the packs I used to carry at the time and a small snack and we left on a good note."
He said while backing off of her with a grin. "Sorry if I hurt you when i did that, I was trying to throw in some dramatic affects." He said with a sheepish smile.

“I never travel outside my pride, except on rare occasions like this one where I am escorting my father. To be honest, I am not even right for this role. Father should have brought a fighter with him, but I begged him to take me with him.” Yasmine explained. “Hopefully after this mission, I will be allowed to go on more missions outside the pride.”
If she did really well on this mission, she was sure that they would have her go on more missions.
“Well, okay I can tell you one of the stories my sisters used to tell me.” She had one story in mind. “It's about a cheetah from my pride who died when I was younger, old enough to explore on my own, but young enough to have a curfew.”
She looked up at the sky, thinking about how she wanted to start off the story. “Annu was her name. She had joined our pride as a refugee of another pride. She didn't have any family or friends in the pride and mostly just kept to herself. The only time I ever heard her was at night. She would start crying out with ghastly wails,” She imitated the cry, as best she could, making sure she sounded in pain. “She was loud enough so my family could hear her. This would go on until one of the witch doctors created some medicine to keep the nightmares at bay.”
“One day my sisters decided to investigate. Annu was a mystery to us all and my sisters were just nosy enough to try and figure her out. They asked her what her nightmares were about, what her old pride was like and why she left.” Yasmine shook her head. Sometimes her sisters really could be a nuisance. “Annu never told them anything though. She just ignored them. Of course that was not enough for my sisters. They had to investigate.”
She stopped and looked at Aeonus. “After this, the story gets scary. If you get scared, you can always sit closer to me.” She added with a wink, purposefully repeating his words.

She gave him a quick grin, before putting on a more serious expression.
“My sisters started to follow Annu daily, hoping that one day she would slip, that she would reveal part of her past. One day they got their wish. They followed her down to our water pools. Annu face was only inches away from the water. My sisters told me that her voice sounded otherworldly, like through her many different voices spoke.” She explained. When her sisters talked about it, she really didn't understand what they meant. She always thought they meant that her voice made an echo sound, which would make sense. “The words she made were gibberish. There wasn't a single word that they understood.”
She paused for a moment for dramatic effect. “They went to leave, to find someone to tell, but when they turned they spore that the couldn't move their legs, that it felt like something was holding them back.” She gently placed her paw on top of Aeonus'. “Annu stepped closer and closer until they could feel her breath on them.”
Yasmine leaned close to Aeonus ear. “She whispered, 'A little late for little cubs to be out wandering.' After that my sisters were able to run back to the den. They woke me and my other siblings up to tell us their story. We made a promise to investigate it the next day.” She let out a laugh. “When we went to check up on Annu, we found that she was gone along with all her things. Just disappeared like that. We asked around and the only answer we got was that she was sent away on a mission. She has yet to return to our pride though.”
It was a short ghost story. She hardly believed her sisters when they told it. They were known to exaggerate the truth.
