[PRP] Slithering Around (Ryu x Sipho)

Ryu was moving fast along the damp floor of the forest. He loved the days that it rained because it meant his body slid along the ground that much faster. He kept his head low barely paying attention to what he was passing he just wanted to move as fast as possible.

The dark green male still lived with his family however he liked to venture out further and further each and every day. One day he would go so far and never come back, but for now he couldn't imagine not having the safety net of his family knowing his luck he would end up being eaten by something his first week of truly being alone.

Sipho had been sheltering from the rain when he had fallen asleep. Curled up nice and cosy in a hollow log after escaping the rain, he had unexpectedly drifted off into a lovely nap. After all he had spent all night out exploring. Suddenly the sounds of another snake nearby woke him, the distinctive slithering sound over wet leaves. Shifting firwrds he intended to peer down and see if he knew whoever it was that was going past in such a hurry, but the leaves that had made up the base of his temporary nest had got wet at the edge of the crevise and with a surprised hiss he slipped and slid out of the hole, landing on the ground below in an undignified heap.

"Ow!"

Ryu didn't even have a chance to stop before he ran right into the item had fallen directly into his path. He collided with the other body. "Hrmf" he said with a groan. He felt his body crumple into himself it was rather painful and for a moment Ryu was concerned that he may ended up in a knot.

After he regained his ability to move Ryu uncrumpled himself and pulled back to see what it was that had fallen. When his eyes focused on the green stripes of a snake he let out a little hiss.

"Sipho you could have killed me." Ryu said chastising his brother. Ryu was rarely serious however when he was injured he was a touch on the angry side.

The word wasn't even out of his mouth when his brother barreled into him, sending him flailing, loops of himself tumbling. Wheezing in a pained manner he lay belly-up, peering up at his sibling. After a moment he carefully twisted round, finding he was bruised from his tumble and the collision with Ryu but otherwise unhamred.

"Oww... sorry Ryu. I didn't do that on purpose." Hanging his head he flicked his tongue out, trying to taste if his sibling was injured at all. "The leaves were wet..." With his tail he pointed up at where he had been resting. Carefully shaking himself out and stretching, he coiled up properly and looked at Ryu with a grin. Despite their painful and litteral run-in with each other, he grinned, happy to see his brother. "What are you doing out here anyway?"

With a quick flash all of Ryu's seriousness faded away. He couldn't stay mad, particularly when his brother had also gotten hurt and it had all been a mistake to begin with. He mirrored his brothers position and coiled himself up.

"I was out here racing on the wet leaves. You can go faster when the ground is wet." he said a grin creeping across his face. Ryu hadn't grown up at all and there was a strong chance he might never. "Don't tell me you have never raced along wet leaves. You haven't lived till you have tried it Brother." he said. He began to uncoil himself preparing to race along the wet leaves again.
