Guilt. It coursed through her veins, saturated her bones, and made her heart heavy. She hated her sister for making her feel this way. She knew that she had to get rid of that loathing, for it was that hatred in the beginning that had caused her to get into this emotional mess in the first place.
Half a year ago Bexoi and her brother had sold their half-sister into slavery. It had seemed like the perfect plan at the time, it would get rid of the annoyingly perfect Seline and Bexoi could be free from the constant comparisons. It was always, why can’t you be more like Seline? Oh Seline did this, why couldn’t you do that. Yaddah freaking yaddah. The nagging of her father and step mother had become too much, so Bexoi and Calixte concocted a plan, they would rid themselves of Seline once and for all.
Now instead of feeling triumphant, Bexoi only felt guilt. She could not look at her father for fear he could see what she did in her eyes. She stomped one of her hooves into the dirt, and let out a frustrated whinny. “Gah, stupid Seline! Why do you still haunt me so?”
