It was not normal for Pirata to leave a current operation for any length of time - however some circumstances made such an absence worthwhile and she was quite certain that Syphax had things well in hand while she was gone. Indeed she better have. Traveling alone was also not high on the mares desires but the operation could not afford the loss of warriors to be her escorts and the condors were needed to keep an eye on the enemy's movements.
If this meeting had not been with him .... well then she likely would have put it off a bit longer, but Pirata had heard much of this stallion and when her emissaries had returned with favorable news she was not willing to risk loosing the possibility of an alliance. This stallion was said to be a monstrous looking creature, a stallion that ought to be dead by all rights and yet walked still, it was intriguing and for that reason alone Pirata had agreed to this meeting.
Her spiders skittered ahead of her, flitting and out of the underbrush with no trouble, every now and then they would return to show her the fruits of their hunting, small rodents and once a bird, she cooed at them sweetly in congratulations for such hunting prowess, it was good to encourage such things in them. However as they neared the meeting spot Pirata called her pets close, pausing so that they could hitch a ride upon her back before continuing "There you are my sweets, just stay put while I get this all all sorted out."

He had left silently not speaking a word to those in his realm, there was trust built knowing that his son true son Ksiye would be able to handle any dealings while he was gone and those that were in training and where scouting. Well they knew better than to falter in their loyalties and duties and those who even thought of it kept it locked in their minds in order to keep their lives. The enemies were silent as well; far too proud to make any sort of movement to attack yet and their little pitiful attempts to silence him had proven a waste of their time and questions had begun to arose. It wouldn’t be long now that they would meet, chat in their little circle with their rules and regulations of what could and couldn’t be done. By then he would be ready, there would be no faulting move.
A crude smile spread across the beast’s muzzle as he clung to the shadows moving with incredible silence as if the shadow was merely an extension of his own body. Things where neatly falling into place and Skine’s name was slowly beginning to spread across the land even to others with their own operations and armies, ones that he had turned his hollow eyes to with curiosity. She had agreed to meet him just as he had calculated she would, she would need him and him her.
He had sent others to watch her, first merely out of suspicions of a power imposing him however she had paid little attention beyond the realm of her own operations. From there grew curiosity and as both their armies and cruelty grew there was more of a peaked interest, a mare who if it his own heart wasn’t hanging from his chest would have made it beat with admiration.
Growing closer to their meeting place Sikine slowed his pace, still keeping to the shadows as he approached the edge of the small clearing.
“Greetings,” the husk voiced spoke.

Pirata's multiple glowing eyes flit about the clearing quickly upon her arrive - it was empty but that was not entirely surprising, like herself she wouldn't expect the one she was meeting to leave himself exposed in the open while he waited. The voice from the shadows quickly drew her attention and Pirata's head swiveled in that direction as the husky voice reached her ear's, glowing eyes picked out the dark form within the shadows, darkness within darkness. It was a fitting sight according to the rumors she had heard. Having set her eyes upon him the spider mare gave the stallion a cordial nod before shushing her spiders who drummed their legs upon her hide, uneasy by the presence of a stranger or perhaps somewhat excited by close proximity of his corpse like body, it was hard to tell but the creature settled easily enough under her command.
"Greetings indeed, so you are the stallion I have heard so much about...my condors have long brought word of your exploits, quite intriguing these battles of yours." She cooed at the stallion, voice sickly sweet, like poisoned apples..beautiful but dangerous all at the same time. Stepping from the tree line Pirata revealed herself in full, they were here to talk there was little point in doing so across the expanse of a meadow.
