Lan didn’t often look for members of the old court- the one that had been an illusion yet- This was important. Goldies as they had dubbed themselves, were vital in a way to her. They could help Mengyao remain in control of himself. So seeking the one who recalled the events of for the purpose of talking was fine- she just wasn’t sure where to start given the fact that this gold member was a student.

It was awkward being on the student grounds now, but Lan did want to see Imryn. If anything the ghoul might tell her just what and how the school and Halloween had taken to the recent horsemen.. excursion and development of their new home.

Ghost dorm door knocked on Lan just felt more awkward. It was so… youthful in the school.

The sound of something being knocked over, quickly followed by a few grumbles as well, could be heard from inside before the ghoul opened the door just a crack and peeked out. No one ever came knocking on her door looking for her. Occasionally there was the lost student or two when new arrivals made their way to the school, but other than that she kept to herself as of late.

"What do y-" Imryn stopped short and opened the door a bit more upon seeing who was at the door, shocked to see a horseman, well horsewoman, standing there before her. Not to mention one that looked familiar to her in a way that sent shivers down her spine, at least what there was of it. Her appearance in the gold kingdom had changed a few things during the time spent there, but the same ashen skin, bright blue eyes, and jet black hair were the few things that had carried over.

She closed her mouth quickly, lips pressed togther while debating to even entertain the notion of letting a horseman into her dorm room. There had been whispers lately of another event involving them and a new place for them to live, though none of it had exactly been good. However, having one standing out there in the hallway might end up causing more of a disturbance than she had the patience to deal with at the moment. "Never thought I would see someone from the other side come knocking on my door. If you don't mind the few furnishings, please come in and have a seat." Imryn offered, floating off to the side and opening up the door a bit wider to allow Lan inside. It was rather plain, just a desk off to the left side with a basic wooden chair, closet on the right with a chest next to it that was partially open with a few minis peeking their heads out. A few paces behind the desk sat two plush looking chairs with a small table between them, set up just in case guests happened to come over. Wishful thinking and all that.

Lan heard more than a few questionable sounds coming from beyond the door and wondered if perhaps, she’d come at a bad time. After all, not all students could be expected to be at their dorms rooms, what with classes and projects and homework and whatever else it was that students did while..being students. Lan had her private education, this whole school system was..odd for her. Tutors for life, that was her lot.

The first response wasn’t exactly what Lan hoped for, but it was understandable. She’d arrived with no warning after all. “So I have the right ghoul then.” She stared Imryn down, noting how little she had changed..yet how much she had as well. “I am glad, and yes this is a rather..unexpected house call I suppose.” Hair tossed back Lan walked into the ghoul’s dorm like she owned the place, eyes roaming over everything before returning to the student.

“This does not suit one from Eldric.” She said as if she had expected better, (she had).
“But that is why I have come, to speak of the golden kingdom- one you should recall in full detail if I am not mistaken.” Lan smirked. “Or have you written such events out of your life already?”

Imryn closed the door behind the horsewoman, closing her eyes for a brief moment and taking a deep breath before turning to face her guest with a small smile. Not that it would last for long, but there was no reason not to make an attempt at being polite instead of just glaring from her usual corners.

"If I had half the wealth that she... I... had there, things might be different. Right now I'm a student, and not all of us have the luxury of being able to spend pumpkin seeds on furnishings." She replied, oddly feeling like she needed to defend herself, though not quite sure why. It wasn't as if she bothered to do the same with anyone else there at the school, but this wasn't exactly your normal classmate visit either. Running into someone from that particular adventure wasn't something that she'd ever expected, so maybe it was just throwing her off a bit. Or something.

"Not sure if it was ever really my life there to begin with, but no, I didn't forget about it. Just never expected to find anyone else from the same place or even where to begin looking. It's not something that I'd go around asking people about just because of similar looks or a name." She sighed, running a clawed hand through her hair while floating into the middle of the small room. "Though what does any of that have to do with me now? "

Not have- Was that a problem? Lan was quick to scowl, reaching into her robes to pull out her purse. A quick count- “Here.” She set it down, a few silver and gold seeds threatening to spill out. “It is not charity mind- but I will not be idle while one of gold, onw who was… allied was left wanting.” Plus Lan had other reasons, other motivations. She often did. Folding out a few creased to her dress, the horsewoman sat and watched Imryn silently. “You remember.” She said. “You like myself and others remember the illusion, the call to risk to save- your risk was like our own, and we never really did thank you properly for it.”

Horseman hardly thanked anyone for that matter.

“But let us get down to the real matter here- the reason for my visit.” She thought it was for the best. “I was the advisor- but now that kingdom is gone, the illusion broken. Yet I ask- why does it linger? What might we gain from keeping this connection open?” A small toss of her hair behind her Lan purred. “Power.” It was a simple matter really. Power would bind them- as would pride. “We horsemen no longer linger in Halloween- our eyes have focused elsewhere- yet Mengyao, Lifen, Myself, even dear Kiwi we are varied in what we do. We have our roles and often..they might attract some attention while we cannot look to check.” A finger taped the table.

“Do you, would you, still ally with those of gold?”

"What-wait no, put those away that's not what I meant at all."Imryn spluttered while just staring at the bag of seeds that Lan so easily plunked down for a few moments before crossing her arms and just staring at her. Good grief, that hadn't been some kind of request for money, though that was certainly more than she'd seen at one time from her own savings. That was besides the point though. It unnerved her a bit thinking about taking anything from Lan, especially not knowing what strings may or may not come attached to it safer this way.

And there it was again. The same vein that, no matter which horsemen she seemed to hear about or talk to, they all had the same theme. Power and more power. While that was a little unnerving, there was also the familiar pull, a call to be of some use to those that she'd once shared a bond with, no matter that it was a different lifetime ago. Imryn began to float back and forth for a few minutes, debating the wisdom of even entertaining the idea of agreeing to hear more. Besides, it wasn't as if she was being asked to swear in like the others that had followed the Horsemen before... right? The chance to once again be a part of something a bit bigger than herself with those that had all fought for each other was very tempting indeed.

"Before I agree to anything, things need to be laid out so I know exactly what you are wanting from me. I won't join the Horsemen as a whole IF I agree. Medea isn't someone I trust farther than I could throw her, and seeing as I couldn't get close enough to even try... well you see where I'm going with this. The only reason it's even up for debate is because there is still that annoying part that feels a bit of a bond there. I won't betray those of Halloween for you all, and if possible, I'd like to talk to some of the others before making a final choice. If they are willing. That's not a make or break point however." She said finally, turning again to face Lan with a very no nonsense look on her face.

Part of her brain was telling her she was officially crazy for this, and maybe it was right. Time would tell if she was making a big mistake or if it would pay off in the end and maybe not all of them were crazy pants.

Lan laughed outright to the point she dapped her eyes. Poor Imryn, Lan did not blame her, yet to hear it was still quite amusing. “Oh my dear- half of us want Medea gone. We do not follow her because we want her in power.” She said. “The clans were ruled by their leaders, and the Heirs have become nothing more than protectors- yet for at least those of conquest. Blood bleeds true. So his father ruled, so will Invictus one day. Medea is but a passing ‘queen’ who’s subjects merely tolerate her.”

Lan held no love for Medea, yet her methods were the ones that were for the clans. “I am not asking you to join the horsemen as a whole… more join us- Eldric once again. To join us and be our allies. Your duties would be simple. As you know, we and Halloween do not exactly see eye to eye. And some things we do.. tend to get attention we don’t want. So what you would do is simple. Let us know if someone is seeking us or attempting to rise against us. Information, that is all, no involvement beyond. Just be our eyes, our ears. Let us know what is happenening in Halloween.” She motioned to the silver seeds.

“That was a genuine gift, but if that is what you would seek as payment that is fine. Or is there something else we might offer you?”

The ghoul had been working herself up a bit and getting a bit irritated at being laughed at, not exactly sure what was so funny. However, if her terms were cause for amusement then she was more than willing to give a piece of her mind before not so gently attempting to escort her guest out the door. Though that was short-lived however when Lan began speaking again, still irritated but able to see why it had been found amusing. To a certain degree. It was comforting to know that not all of them were Medea's supporters, not knowing exact details of what had been going on in there lately, but it did help the ghoul relax just a smidge.

"Sorry about that, just trying to cover all of my bases. Most of my interactions with Horsemen have been... unpleasant to say the least. The only ones that didn't end with me fighting for my life or being left for dead were there in Eldric, though none of us were really ourselves so not sure if that counts." She replied with a little sigh, taking a moment to glance again at the bag of seeds sitting there before rubbing a claw over her face. This was what she'd wanted, a chance to get out there and do what she enjoyed doing while helping to protect those she cared about. Just never thought that chance would have come quite like this and to be helping those she wasn't exactly sure were friendlies.

"The gift is appreciated, though it would make me feel a bit better to think of it as payment, partially. I'll do what I can, as it's not as if this is much different than what I was doing there. Just one thing though. If there is anything big on your side that is heading our way, mind giving me a bit of a heads up? I'd rather have the chance to be prepared than keep getting caught off guard and tossed into something." Simple enough request, just a bit of information sharing. Not that Imryn expected it to happen, but it was worth a shot to ask.

Lan’s eyes were filled with amusement. “It’s all fair. We’re not the most friendly bunch.” Or inclusive or even tolerant. Lan had hardly been keen to this until she weighed the pros and cons. Flicking a speck of dust from her robes, Lan watched Imryn take the seeds and speak her terms.

“Payment then. As for telling you what we do..” Lan exposed her wrist, a burning red mark visible on her skin. “I am bound. Even if I wished I could not. Hints perhaps, little ways to see that harm will not befall you should… occurrences happen. “ Standing Lan made her way to the door.
“Do we have an accord?”
