"I'm still alive." She grunted out, regaining her calm after taking in a few deep breaths. At least she still had the bandages she had gotten earlier from the supply closet, so that would at least help for a while until--
The announcement interrupted them, and it didn't take long for her to understand why he had left in such a hurry. It meant that someone had managed to acquire a key to leave, presumably the key that she now held in a bloody hand. Who was it, she wondered. She barely even knew anyone by name; just Llyrendil and Pachua. Some she had seen more than others because they had woken up in the same room, and while she had been exploring about as well.
But that was the kicker, wasn't it? Who could they trust in this situation? The only ones she had any sliver of trust for were the two whose names she was at least somewhat familiar with, and one of them definitely did not have a key.
Gritting her teeth, she stood up, and began to wind a bandage around her injured arm. And then a thought struck her; what if others did not trust her with the E key and tried to pry it away from her? It was a sobering thought, and as the bandages began to reach her palm, she decided to hide the key between her fabric and her skin.
Now she was ready to head out.
But there was someone waiting for her, and Marzena regarded with a cool stare. "I suppose you thought that was very funny."

The machine whirled to life, screeching and vibrating as it went about its business, rending and tearing the contents. When it calmed down, the latch fell open - and sitting in the inner compartment, where the material had once been, sits a key with 'E' scratched into its handle.
"I think everything is funny." The Fracs clarified with a chuckle, tail flicking behind it. "You found an exit key, I see." It seemed to get right down to business, especially with Marzena. "-And someone's already in the lobby, about to leave...I'm afraid you don't have time to find your skin and get out of here in time." It added, ears lowering sadly.
"Unless..." |

So it was an exit key.
"What do you mean there's not enough time?" She asked, narrowing her eyes. It hadn't mentioned anything about a time limit before, but she supposed it was all just part of the game.
And of course, it knew that she was determined to get out here only when she got her skin back. To a selkie, the seal skin was everything. She had no doubt that even Sibyl would have thought the same. "...Unless what?"
What did it want her to do?

Twenty-four hours?! "And why would it take so long?" She demanded, fists clenching.
...That was why.
Because it was just all a sick game to it. Everything that had happened so far was still fresh in her mind, every single drop of blood spilled had been because the one behind this all enjoyed it. Relished the pain it was putting them through, and it was absolutely despicable. "........And who is this person?" Marzena asked quietly.
Would it even make a difference? She thought. It was still going to be a choice between someone's death and her skin, and even though she couldn't shift into a seal any longer, it was the only thing she had left to remind herself of who she was.
It was a dilemma, and she wasn't even sure if this was a choice she was ready to make.

[ BZ -> HALLWAY -> SUPPLIES CLOSET -> UPSTAIRS ]
The machine made an awful noise, it's whirring and clanking enough to make him cringe back, his ears falling flat against the back of his head. He hated machines and the noises they made, so unnatural, and always seeming like they might just explode.
But soon the sounds began to die away, and the door unlatched, popping back open to reveal that the parts were all gone, and in it's place....
Mathias reached out slowly, sliding the key out with a claw before picking it up. It was marked with an "E" and for a moment, he stood and wondered what that could even mean. What did that letter stand for?
All he could think of, was the only word that really fit. He played enough word puzzles to figure this out, or at least, he hoped he did. A key with an E could only be a key for an exit. He had found one!
But the, so had somebody else, as the PA announcement had indicated, and they would soon be attempting to leave. That, Mathias could not accept. If anybody was leaving, they needed to do so in a group to give themselves the best chances of making it back to Amity.
Mathias left the room, quickly making his way to the supplies closet. Inside, he went for the the band-aids once more, grabbing a box and shoving them in his pocket, before turning away.
He only spared a moments glance down the hallway before he was jogging towards the stairs, springing up them two at a time.
He needed to find the lobby, and the exit door.
Inventory: B-6 Key, E Key, 2 X band-aids, 1 X matches, 1 X scalpels, 1 X scalpel blades, 1 bag glowing mushrooms.

The only way?
Her heart seemed to stop thudding in her chest as she regarded the fracs with a stunned look.
"Wait." She started forward. "I'm not done talking to you yet! How do you expect me to even injure anyone in this state?" Sure, it had seen her take down a door and a table, but her dominant hand was not in a prime state for doing such things.
She needed more information.

It had a very weird way of showing that it liked her.
Though it wasn't as though it was the first time she had thought this; the very first time had been the time it had stuck a syringe in her leg while claiming that it was because it didn't want her to die.
And now a similar looking syringe had been presented to her, but the contents were different. This was definitely not what she had been stabbed with in Room 101, and she picked it up gingerly with her uninjured arm.
Marzena said nothing more to the Fracs, but she did walk to the supplies closet as it had suggested. There, she grabbed more fresh bandages and bandaids; healing herself up was the current priority, of course.
And yet she was not using them.
Instead, the ghoul knelt outside the room and began to sort her things out. The towel was removed from its place around her neck and laid out on the floor, and most of her belongings were then tied up into the fluffy package, including a syringe.
It was now time to go to the lobby to meet whoever had the other E keys, and Llyrendil. She needed to know who she would be escaping with, and formulate a plan before even thinking about heading to room 103.
