His father had talked to him. He hated what was done to his family. Jafar's tail twitched in mild annoyance as he paced, thinking things over. His father wanted him to go after the Princess, to get her interested, to mate with her, make her fall in love with him. Why? So Teo could rise to power. Well, Jafar was a bit power thirsty too. He was nearly an identical copy of his dad, just with darker colored marks that favored his mother.

Jafar's ears pressed against his head as he let out an annoyed growl and just rubbed at his face with a paw. He was still annoyed, so annoyed that his father wanted to use him to raise his own rank. What if Jafar wanted to be more than just a fighter? What if Jafar wanted to be the new Right Hand? His dad was getting old (not really) and Jafar didn't think he needed any power. It would go to his head and then an all out war against the leopards would happen. While Jafar didn't enjoy leopards, he saw them as useful.

While not as fast as cheetahs, leopards could be used as mules. Pack mules, work mules, that kind of thing. They could be used for labor while the cheetahs rested pretty higher up. Silver white eyes stared out in front of him, waiting for this princess. His dad had been watching her, and she was supposed to come this way, not escorted, more often than not. Today was the day he was going to meet her and set his own plan into motion.

The princess wasn't in the right state of mind. No. She was distraught only because of her own blind love- that she knew. It was making her heart rotten. Dijinni was just an illusion and she was slowly starting to piece it altogether. Even without Segurue's help- she was smart. Calculating. He didn't have to tell her what she already suspected and it was hard to learn about her grandmother and not know how she attracted so many males to her pawside. Unlike her siblings who aspired- who made just eased right in to the pride and didn't think not once of trying to rule it like she did. It urked her- and all she wanted was to be wanted. Adored. But she didn't have that, maybe the isolation of her studies did that- But she wasn't 'everyone's princess' like her mother was. She wasn't the alluring queen Nyoka. Then who was she!?

Dijinni... she could only think about how many clients he had. How adoring he was..How he made it so easy to love everyone... Then witch doctor came in to play and she wasn't stupid. Oh no, far from it. Her mind excelled in where she lacked the social skills to compensate for it. Today- Segurue had told her about a secret meeting that Dijinni had with Lulu and it urked her in a way that made her want to LOCK UP and do terrible things to the two but Segurue saw that- and had chosen to explain to her that these things happen in the pride all the time. It's natural.

Then what was there to believe in? Her father and mother made it. She growled to herself, in her shiny jewels that hung on strings around her body. Like a dancer. Except one could tell how she held herself that she was royalty. This time.. she was walking in to through the tunnels. Aimlessly trying to find thought. Small patches of sunlight in misc places shined through, making her stand out and glitter every time the sun touches her- yet the darkness of the tunnels made it easy for her to get to the next sunlight spot without being noticed. Except- she didn't know she was being trailed neither. Her mind was everywhere and that feeling of loneliness and shielding herself from the world was growing greater. Was this feeling of jealousy beginning to devour her? Rot the heart.. and scorch the burns of her loneliness and expose them.

Finally she got to where she had been wanting- and she got up to the edge and looked down at the pool under her... glittering and glowing.. One would have to dive down at least a few feet to touch water... it was a calm and collective place she had gone to, to think.

The fret and worry on the princess was clear to a blind cheetah. She reeked of it, heart ache and confusion. He knew why, of course he did. Dijinni was his brother, his little entertainer brother who got to the princess first. Father knew that, new it wasn't going to end well for either and that's where Jafar would come in. He would damn his own brother's name so he could have that power. Love? He hardly knew the word, save for his mother. He he had respect for his siblings but he didn't love them. Not like siblings should, anyway.

The red male moved slowly behind her, peeking over as well to look at the pool and hummed softly. "Hello, princess," he murmured softly, keeping his head down like a good subject would. His ears even pinned back to show he was unsure if he should even approach her. He wasn't of course, but she wouldn't know that. Would she know him as Dijinni's brother? They were very similar in looks, it wouldn't be hard to piece two and two together. But, was she smart enough to do it? His dark tuft of hair fell into his silver yes and he just crouched low, laying on his belly, letting his paw hang over the edge carefully.

"I am Jafar... I thought I would keep you company today." He wore his fighter scars proudly. They showed his rank, showed him for someone that could easily protect her.

Whatever glitters... is not always gold. Djinni and her time together was lacking that which was intimate, something she wanted and desired... finally when she made it to the pool- starring down til she was interrupted by a fighter. No doubt a damn guard from her mother. When she turned to look at him.. he had already spoke up. How he was in such a submissive position in the pride.. he knew his place. A sigh came out of her.

She hadn't really wanted company but she supposed that was just in their nature. "You -thought- you would." Rolling her eyes. "So you're here by choice is what you're saying." With the darkness- she hadn't yet fully paid attention to who she was talking to. It didn't register until she repeated the name in her head. Jafar... jafar... Then she swung her head back- surprise crossed her whole face. "You're Djinni's brother!" Just by the name- she pulled up the records of the familiarity- Djinni didn't talk about him much but she knew because he was regarded as an upcoming fighter when she had to study and oversee the fighters not just a week ago.

A sense of sort of calm came off of her. "My apologizes. Fighter Jafar, I just- um.. " Looking back at the water. "How are your sparrings coming- along...." Trying to even make a small talk of sorts so she didn't seem like that much of a horrible princess. Maybe she could even get information out of him of Djinni.. Looking back at him with a not so harsh face anymore. One could tell she was sad- but at least she tried not to be stuck up. A fair leader- meant to be a humble leader when subjects did as they are told. To be personalable and conscious of those around her and their abilities. Noting the scar upon his face. What she found more interesting... was his beautiful silver eyes..
