Hello there! Are you boy. . . girl???
Alright enough goofing around, yesterday I began my 365 day Poetry challenge. ((Along with a 365 art day challenge as well.)) So I will be posting this post all 365 days as they come. Starting with day 1, and soon enough day 2. This begins a new adventure for me in the literature world of Poetry.
Day 1 New Beginnings:
"A New Chapter."
My life has brought me here, A moment which has been wanted, For so long. Dreaming this dream, A dream which seemed almost so unreal, For so long. And it’s finally beginning! So long, A child’s life, Which brought me this far. So long, To my childhood home, Which has sheltered me from the coming world. So long, Because this is good bye, A good bye which has been long waited, And is so owed by me. Thank you!

Day 2, Brothers fight, over one man's pride! Good vs. The Controlled!
Cause and Effect Day 2 of 365.
"Cause of Pride, Destruction as your result. . ."
Today, Will perhaps be my hardest moment. Because I face a brother, In arm combat, To save his life. Too free him from that man’s pride. Too free this world from the destruction he brought! I was created for peace, And that is what I will achieve, Even if it means my life. I will fight! Even my own brother, For that ever lasting peace! I will fight you! Brother, Forgive me, Because we have to fight! Now!
Also fun little bit this was the music I was listening too when making this poem, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD2u5B1UBEY

Day 4, theme: Childhood Memories.
"A Challenging Foe! Video Game Memories!"
"So we meet again, And old foe I had not forgot. A foe whose skin shines of pure metal, Whose remorse does not exist, And whose heart does not even beat. You wear your cap close. Scathe sharpened for the occasion. A rare rematch between us two foes, Which only one will be the victor! My joy stick is set, My thumbs close to the A button, My eyes narrowed to yours. This shall be, A match for centuries!"
You know who he is, like I do, Metal Mario you are worthy opponent!

Day 5, theme Speed.
"The Silent Man's Speed"
"Your speed is incredible, Your eyes vacant of expression, As if nothing had even fazed you. Who are you? You move like a blur in my eyes, You act as if nothing came in your path, And here I lie on the ground. Who are you? You don’t even look down on me with pity, You just kept walking, As if this was normal part of your day. Who are you? Even when I thought I could win, You prove me so wrong. And put me back in my place. Who are you? Are you a machine? That cares for nothing in its way? Or are you a man, With a mission, That no being can truly understand. Who are you . . .?"
Theme I was listening that made me think about the character which poem is based off of, Q from Street Fighter 3rd Strike. Mysterious character, and felt fitting to make poem about. Here is music I listen too while writing this poem up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcH-zyDUEP0

End of Week 1! blaugh
Day 7 theme: Gilding a Lily
"Letting a Young Lily Glide"
"That young man, Filled with such an anger, But deep within in him, Is a good soul that I know exists. A man whom I’ve seen, Do great things! But when I push him to pull out his good, A storm brews in him, And the anger comes back in full force. He is a good man! But a man that needs to be freed from his past, And me. Perhaps this is what others have told me, “This would be the hardest point in my life.” And they were right, Because in order for him to grow, I have let him go. A lily needs to be freed in the air, Not kept in bottle to wither away. So, Walk away, And be who you need to be!"

Day 8: Theme, First Romance
"My feelings on Romance"
"You know, When I see people in relationship, It makes me want what they feel for each other. And it’s odd, Because I’m usually very controlled about my feelings, On that topic of romancing. I want it as much as the next, Lonesome man. Let’s get real for a moment! If you ever been lonely, And haven’t found someone, Don’t you envy those who flaunt their relationship? Don’t you wish? That you could hold it as your own, No matter how short or long? Perhaps that was what I felt when I was younger though, Thinking I needed what they had. But I don’t. In fact I’m not going to rush down that avenue, Rather, I’ll let it come in its own good time. And unlike those who give up, And regret it later. I will keep that door open, For that lucky gal, To make me, One lucky son of a gun." heart

Day 9, theme: Orchards.
"Friendships are like Apples."
You know, A man at orchard once taught me something about friendships. Grant you at first glance he may not seemed bright, But as I grew older the more I understood what he meant. He told me this, “Son, Friendship is sort of like plucking, An apple from a tree. Most of the time you’ll get rotten, Worm plucked apples, That you ain’t even going to put too your mouth. Then you get apples that look good, But aren’t just quite ready for you. So you toss them, And trust me, You’ll toss a lot of them. Then, Out blue yonder, There be those few apples, That are just right. Not spec of dirt on them, Not a bit of pluck to them, And enough aged so they are ready for ya. Always look for the apples that are just right. You’ll be quite surprise how they, Can make your entire day.” It may have been silly at the time, When I first heard these words. But I’ve gotten a lot of rotten apples, And I have gotten a lot of apples that were just not ready. But they few I have gotten, That was just right, Made all of that plucking, Worth my time of day.
