Another feminine giggle joined Pitsiark's over her sorry state. Not more than a leap or two away, though her form was half-hidden by the ever-present mists of their new pridelands, sat none other but the queen of the pride, Liadan. Of course, she wasn't dressed like the queen she was, her laurel crown and mantle left in the royal den. All she wore was a simple gold length around her throat, falling just under the runes that marked her pelt.
It seemed to take a moment before she could compose herself, though she did try her best to hide her rather broad and very honest smile behind her paw. When it finally fell, her smile was much smaller and seemed a little pinched, as if she was doing her absolute best not to start laughing outright. "Are you all right? You didn't hurt yourself, did you?" Well, of course not, she probably wouldn't be giggling to herself if she'd been hurt, but there was no reason not to ask. And besides, Lia needed a bit more time to get her own amusement under control.

Lia's eyes softened when the other female, Oh goodness what was her name? saw who she was and started to try and right herself. She needed to get out more, to see the rest of the pride so that she could know everyone. What kind of queen was she when she didn't know half of her pride?? Well, some queens were aloof and distant, but not her. No siree! This move... had just been difficult for her and she hadn't gotten around these new lands much. And there were new members that had joined, ones from the pride that used to live here and even new ones and she just didn't know anyone anymore it seemed. Now was a perfect time to fix that.
"Oh, please, no need for that. My parents gave me a beautiful name and I'd much rather hear that. Lia is perfectly fine," she replied, her tone that of a friend rather than a ruler. Her father might have been a member of the high council back in their old pride, but her huntress mother had taught her practicality, even after she'd been picked to be the future queen. She couldn't help it, when the other lioness started trying to shake the dye off, Lia rose a paw to shield her face and outright laughed.
"We'll both be saturated if you keep that up!" she gasped between laughter. "Wouldn't a quick dip take the dye off better..." She trailed off as if she wanted to say the lioness' name but didn't know it, a subtle hint for a little assistance... Oh, bother with that. "Forgive me, I don't know your name."

"No need to apologize, I've done exactly the same thing and still would if I were in your position," Lia replied with a nod and a bit more of a grin than a smile. She watched the other female, Pitsiark, relax and felt a bit of tension leave her that she hadn't quite realized was there. Yes, she was queen, but she didn't like the thought of being separated from the rest of her pride. They were her family, after all. So it was no wonder she was just a bit worried that some of them might be wary about relaxing around her. But then Pitsiark called her by name and all the worry was gone.
She nodded her head in greeting and tilted her head a bit. "I was visiting with my brother. Or, rather, if you ask him, I had dropped in on him with absolutely no warning and every intention to ruin his day by bothering him to no end." The way Lia said it and the grin on her features, there was no telling if her brother wasn't far more accurate than she was or not. "He's a magi as well, Fechin. I know, we have very little in common, physical or otherwise, but he's my brother all the same and queen or not, it's my duty as little sister to add chaos to his life." Not to mention she was just a little bit of a busy-body and took great pleasure in seeing her big brother sputter.

Lia watched as that tidbit of knowledge sank into Pirsiark's mind. No one ever could guess that. Fechin had always been a bit of an odd duck in their family, but their parents had never tried to change anything about their cubs. "He doesn't talk much. Period, really. And he'd hate me for telling anyone this, but he has even more trouble talking with ladies. Makes him flustered, I think." Oh, her poor brother, she was the worst sister in the world and she knew it. But her brother needed to be less awkward around others and she would love to have nieces and nephews some day for crying out loud!
Her head tilted a bit in thought. "I don't believe I need one. I would love to have someone to walk with for a bit, though. Ah, but if you have something else to do, I don't want to take you away from that," Lia replied with a nod. Everyone had their own roles that were importantly to the pride and the last thing she wanted to do was to distract someone.

Lia smiled and nodded. "He really is, and I couldn't be more proud." She really was. He was a good, dedicated member of the pride, always had been and he worked so hard to learn, well, everything. She had to wonder, were all of the magi so studious? After meeting Pitsiark, maybe they were. There was nothing wrong with being a little odd, having little quirks made life more interesting, at least in her opinion. Now flustered was a different story, a fact that she filed away. After all, she didn't want to upset anyone!
"True, but I think good company is worth the mess," Lia replied with a nod and a smile. Pride welled up within her. After everything that had happened to them all, it warmed her heart and lifted her spirits to see her pride members moving along, living well and happily in this new place, with new lions walking among them. And cubs! Oh, she hoped there would be more soon, she adored cubs. The thought brought an ache to her heart over the ones she had lost, but she showed no sign of it.
"It was good getting to talk to you, Pitsiark. We should do it again sometime, when we don't have other things to attend to!" With her cheerful farewell and a slight dip of her head, Liadan set off so that the magi could get back to her work.
