User ImageHero alias: Necrotico
Real name: Jaxson D. Gray
Powers/abilities: Bio-Plasma - His body produces bio-plasma which oozes from the tattoo like markings on his body at will. It can then be manipulated into a weapon or a projectile and thrown. The Bio -Plasma burns and corrodes on contact, often resulting in collateral damage. Constant use of the Plasma will tire him out, and eventually he will run dry. (Rookie ~ 5 attacks, Sidekick ~ 10 attacks, Hero ~ 15 attacks) When formed into balls it tends to keep a solid shape, but it will ooze and drip the further away it gets from Jaxson. On occasion his body will “vent” the bio-plasma if he hasn't used it quickly enough. However, being a natural substance, it does not have a long shelf life and tends to go dormant after about five minutes. After that five minutes it becomes inert and starts to evaporate into the air rather quickly, usually disappearing after about ten minutes. The Bio-Plasma also reacts to his adrenaline levels, if he is scared or angry, and his adrenalin spikes, it will cause his body to secrete plasma as a defense mechanism.

Rookie: Jaxson has a very limited control over his bio-plasma at this stage. He can generate a decent amount from the markings on his arms – more than enough to create a baseball size blob which he can lob at opponents. In a pinch, he can use the blobs at close range, but that has a chance to damage his outfit and he'd rather not deal with that. At this stage, he can also manipulate the plasma into short dagger shapes, they don't really cut but instead burn on contact – but they are hard for him to maintain and he really only relies on it in a pinch.

Sidekick: Jaxson has begun to master his bio-plasma and can now form basketball size balls of the stuff from his arm markings, allowing him to launch them at enemies at a slightly farther range. The blobs also burst on contact with the target causing a small area of splash damage around the target when struck. He can now manipulate the plasma into a staff, but it is unstable and prone to bursting if struck, causing splash damage to anyone around him.

Hero: Jaxson pretty much knows how his bio-plasma works and is able to create a very solid small boulder (about 3 feet in diameter) size spheres of his bio-plasma from his arm markings. He also can secrete some from the markings around his eyes like tears that he can throw in a sort of shotgun flak pattern or if he winds up in a grapple situation where his arm markings aren't in a good position for use. He can manipulate the plasma into a solid staff now, and it is stable – only bursting if thrown at a target.

Which area is the character based/from: Ronth
Age upon entering academy: 13 years old
How did your character get their powers: In what could have been a horrific, even tragic, accident while a toddler instead resulted in what at the time, only seemed to be a cosmetic change. At the tender age of two, Jaxson – not knowing any better, managed to get into his father's home lab. His father, a bio-chemist of some renown, had been trying to perfect a formula to allow humans to generate their own energy based off their blood plasma. He was sure he'd reached a breakthrough and that night he made a dire mistake. He forgot to lock his lab. Jaxson, ever the precocious toddler, managed to get the door to his father's lab open, and found the vial of liquid. Being thirsty, he drank the strange pink liquid... and promptly fell over unconscious, only to be found moments later by his father. The transformation was swift, resulting in the pink glowing markings he now bears today.

It wasn't until he turned 13 and puberty hit did he and his parents realize the full extent of his transformation. Having sat down for dinner, Jaxson suddenly found himself on the floor, his clothes – and the chair a smoldering ruin, as pink bio-plasma started to eat through the floor of their flat.

Suffice it to say – his mother was less than thrilled when his father started dancing in the kitchen about his rousing success.

Motivation for entering academy: It was after a very long and loud “discussion” by his parents that it was finally decided it would be best for Jaxson to attend the academy to better learn how to control his newly acquired power. (In reality, it was his mother who made the decision, his father wanted to take him to the lab for testing and parade him around at lectures and deliver a press conference that his breakthrough was successful – but his mother wouldn't hear a word of it, much to his father's chagrin.) While Jaxson isn't thrilled to be leaving home to attend a school full of “freaks and geeks” he's accepted the fact that he's now – well – different. It's hard enough being a 13 year old boy without worrying about your clothes turning into a smoldering wreck or if you're going to melt the locker of the cute girl you're talking too at school. His markings – once a symbol of the cool and popular kid he was in school – have now become somewhat of a curse. He wants to learn to control his ability even if it means going to that “special” school.

Strengths:
I will melt your face: Jaxson's bio-plasma is very effective against flesh – well, organic material in general. It's slightly less effective against synthetics and metals, but given enough of it and enough time, he can eat through those as well. His own skin is immune – as the bio-plasma is a secretion of his own skin/body. But his clothes are unfortunately not – and there are times where he sometimes ruins an outfit with a sudden secretion of plasma.

I Glow Brightest: Jaxson glows in the dark – well to be more accurate, his markings glow and his plasma generates quite a bit of luminescence. He gives off just enough light to allow him to see in low-light, but not quite enough to give him proper vision in completely darkness. If he has a ball of plasma however, he can pretty much see in any level of darkness – even pitch black.

I'm Hot: Jaxson's body temperature runs a lot hotter than normal – around 104 degrees Fahrenheit most days. This is due to the Plasma coursing through his veins. It keeps him warm, even if the temperature drops below his normal comfort zone. When he secretes his plasma his body temperature spikes up to about 212 degrees, so it's not uncommon to see him steam in the winter.

Weaknesses:
Look at me, I'm a target!: Because he glows and generates so much heat – Jaxson is a walking target for anything that tracks heat or can see in the dark. He might as well walk around carrying a neon sign that says attack me... Oh wait – he IS a neon sign.

Uhm, so yeah... about that jacket I borrowed...: Jaxson goes through clothes like a drunk goes through beer bottles. Because his bio-plasma eats any organic material like it's candy, cotton, linen, silk or any natural fabric he wears pretty much goes up in ash and smoke if any of his plasma gets on it. Synthetic materials like nylon and spandex last a little longer – but only just so. He has yet to find the perfect wearable material that can withstand his plasma, but he's noticed that Teflon and other metals don't seem to melt quite as quickly – and certain synthetic ceramics are almost immune to his plasma.

I just want to set the world on fire: Jaxson's bio-plasma has a bad habit of causing a lot of collateral damage. It can be easy to see where he got into a fight – just follow the path in the street that looks like it got attacked by super-mice. If there is a hole in the wall that looks like someone attacked it with a hose full of acid – you can be sure that Jaxson was there. There's not much he can do to mitigate this – and that goes for friendly fire as well. He can't help it if people are in the way of his bio-plasma when it splashes, they just have to be aware that it's being flung about and stay the hell out of the way.

Looks department: ((Check out Image to the Right. Info for journal.))
Eyes: Pink, rounded almond with tattoo like markings around the upper and lower parts of the eye.
Hair: Pink with orange tips, short, messy spikes.
Skin: Light pink tattoo like markings on arms and around eyes.
Height: 5' 4”
Height: 130 pounds
Costume:: Black tennis shoes and red dress slacks. White button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Double breasted vest with a red tie, black beanie.

Personality:
[+] Charmer – Unlike most 13 year old boys, who would rather raid their father's closets or mattresses in order to learn more about the female populace – Jaxson prefers the hands-on approach, and has developed quite the charming demeanor with the ladies. Flirting is almost second nature to him, provided the person he is talking to fits two criteria: 1) Female, 2) Cute. With other boys and adults, he can be a little less – charming, and a bit more smarmy, tending to let his ego do most of the talking. He can be a bit more aggressive with boys and sometimes snotty with adults – but only if they don't realize how awesome he is.

[+] Easy-going – When Jaxson isn't raging however, he's actually pretty laid back and chill. He likes to go with the flow, follow the path of least resistance and pretty much just hang out and have fun. He can buckle down and get serious when he really needs (that is wants) to. He's the kind of guy that would throw a party while his parents are out – because he can.

[+] I'll back you up – Jaxson's friends can count on him to have their back – be it in a fight or needing help with something, Jaxson will stand by his friends. No matter what hour, he will usually drop anything and come and help – unless he's with a girl, then you're just plain out of luck.

[-] Big Ego – If his head were any bigger it would have its own gravity. Jaxson is pretty much convinced he is the be-all-end-all coolest mother this side of the galaxy. You wanna contest that? Fine – be prepared to deal with the whirling fists of doom and blobs of bio-plasma being flung in your face, because Jaxson don't take no shi... That is to say, Jaxson doesn't really like his coolness being called into question – and isn't above resorting to kicking your a** if you think otherwise. Well if you're a dude anyway.

[-] Player – And like most 13 year old boys, Jaxson doesn't quite grasp what the word commitment means. He treats girls like potato chips – that is, he can never date/flirt/hang with just one. So he flits from girl-to-girl, often juggling as many as he can at a time and trying to drop them before they can get wise to his antics. He is quite the heart-breaker – and regrets nothing.

[-] Hot Temper – Jaxson has a hot collar and it's not just because he runs a body temp of 104. When Jaxson gets mad – he gets MAD. Things will fly, punches will be thrown (if you're a guy) and yelling will be had. This is when Jaxson's “advanced” vocabulary really comes out to play – and suffice it to say, he can make even the most harden sailor blush.

Other Info

Birthday: April 10th
Zodiac: Aries
Favorite Food: Anything Spicy
Favorite Music: Mostly Punk bands, rock and roll, and even heavy metal.
Status: Single & always looking
Orientation: Straight
Current Living: Living in a dorm at the academy.

Hobbies:
Ladies: Jaxson's number one hobby is the pursuit of anything female and cute – preferably in a skirt but he'll take what he can get. He will turn on the charm machine and woo and wow any girl that will give him the time of day – and isn't ashamed to use every tactic under the sun to get their number and date them for a bit before dumping them to the wayside for something new when it comes along. Also it has happened where the girl ends up playing him, so even he can be played if he not too careful.

Shopping: Since Jaxson goes through a lot of clothes – and other things – he has suddenly come to enjoy shopping. He's a bit saddened that all the cool clothes and stuff he buys will probably end up a pile of slag later on down the line – but the enjoyment he gains from shopping tends to balance out the regret that his powers pretty much destroy everything he owns at some point.

Working out: Jaxson really wants to stay in shape. So he works out. Granted, he doesn't go crazy, but he figures if he gets an early start – he'll be completely ripped by the time he gets out of the academy and be able to score even better with the ladies. It also helps with his eye-hand coordination, which he appreciates with his bio-plasma blobs.

General backstory

Family:
Father: William Gray (35) – William Gray is a “respectable” bio-chemist of some renown. That is, his theories tend to be correct and his experiments tend to go well. The exact ethical standards of some of his experiments can be debated – but he's never skirted the law so far as to draw the public eye or the bring the courts down upon him. A man who cares more about his next breakthrough than spending time with his family, he provides his family with what they need, and only just. His relationship with his son is – rocky at best – he cares more that the boy proved his latest breakthrough a success, even if it means that his son's life is completely changed forever. He'd rather tout the boy around like a trophy than really take the time to understand why his son is so frustrated that there is a chance any time he touches something it will go up in ashes and smoke.

Mother: Jenna Gray (32) – Perhaps the only reason the Gray family still exists, Jenna Gray has gone to great lengths to protect her son from his own father. The voice of reason and law in the household, Jenna ensured that Jaxson was able to grow up with very minimal intrusion from his father and his “experiments” save for the one incident that lead to Jaxson gaining his powers. It was after that event in fact, that she forced William to move his lab out of the house and into a private space across town – so as to preserve what little normality Jaxson had left due to his transformation. While one would think this would have lead to a divorce – Jenna truly does love William – warts and all. It doesn't hurt he also puts a roof over her head and provides her with the means of taking care of their son. Her relationship with her son is strong – she loves and cares for him, and ensures he gets everything he could ever need or want, be it material or emotional. She'd like to think she's not spoiling him – but making up for the accident that has now forever changed his life. It is partly her fault that he has the ego he does, treating him like a king and telling him how special and amazing he was. She also went to the trouble of taking her entire inheritance (not a small amount of money when it was all said and done) and invested it in order to provide a lifestyle that she and Jaxson could enjoy. William doesn't really see any of this – since he's so busy working. She's a bit upset her son has pulled away from her, she understand he's scared, and is willing to wait and see if he comes around. While she's not partial to his antics with girls, that has more to do with being an over-protective mother who doesn't want her son to grow up than anything else. She'd honestly prefer it if he didn't date – but, she's not gonna tell him no since she wants him to enjoy life. She does tend to put his foot down when it comes to his temper though – she will not stand him going off like a firecracker at the drop of a hat – and has no qualms sending him to his room to go cool off if need be.

Home Life:
To say that Jaxson's home life is somewhat of a roller-coaster is an understatement. When it is just him and his mother (his dad spending extra time in his lab to work on a new project and 'forgetting' he has a family) things go smoothly, and Jaxson can relax. But when he father does finally realize that he has a family, things get a bit... tense. Jaxson and his father don't really, have a relationship so much as William sees his son as a successful experiment. Jaxson sometimes wonders what it would have been like if he had been “born normal” since his parents claim he was born with the markings grew up with. But Jaxson is beginning to have doubts about this, the more and more his father pressures him to come into the lab and do blood-work.

When he knows his father is home, Jaxson tends to avoid the house – only showing up for meals but otherwise staying well away from his father. He sometimes wishes his father would understand that he's worried and confused and scared that he might hurt someone with these new powers of his – but all his father sees is the glory of proving his theory. He tends to stick close to his mother – you could even say he's a bit of a momma's boy – but he's been distancing himself from his mother lately – if only to keep her safe from his own powers – which seem to activate seemingly on their own now-days.

After Jaxson proved William's formula a success, William was prepared to create a new batch in order to move forward and test for mass production. Jenna, not wanting their lie about the origin of Jaxson's abilities to be blown wide open - pulled her husband aside and told him under no uncertain terms was he to reproduce his formula. If he did - he could be assured that not only would he lose his wife and son - but everything he owned when she went to court over their divorce. William - more not wanting to deal with the legal hassle, relented, but still wants to verify that Jaxson's abilities are indeed the result of his experiment in order to at least apply a proof of concept.

Childhood:
Jaxson grew up thinking he'd been born with his pink tattoos, something he'd lauded over the other more “mundane” kids he grew up with. It became a source of popularity for him. They were natural markings – they weren't actual tattoos. He hadn't begged or bribed his parents to sign a release waiver he was just special – truly unique. A true diamond in the rough. This lead to him developing a rather large superiority complex. He was the best thing to come to world since sliced bread, and he never lost that sense of “I am better than all of you combined,” that was fostered so early on by the other kids – many of whom were jealous of his unique markings.

However, as he grew and started to notice girls – things changed. Now, Jaxson is a bit more worried and flustered about approaching girls. He still does it – he still turns on the charm and chats them up like nothing else, but his biggest fear now that he has come into his powers is hurting someone. He doesn't want to be chatting up a girl and suddenly scald her because his body decided right then it needed to purge his system of bio-plasma. So he's taken a bit of distance now from girls – but it won't last long. Jaxson is a true player through and through and he can't stay out of the game for very long.

He is still proud of his markings, even though they are a pain in his butt now – simply because they still make him well – different than most. As he grows more and more suspicious about the actual origins of his markings, he has a nagging desire to confront his parents about it. All the same – he's afraid that it will ruin the mystery of them, and in turn – take away what makes them special.

Simply, Jaxson grew up spoiled – rich, taken care of and granted everything he ever asked for. Now that he's going to the academy, he knows that no matter what... New stuff for his dorm is only a phone-call to mom away.

Hey there Krista! : D
Glad to see you've got this thang goin'! So I'll start you off with some crit! (:

@Powers
When he creates the bio-plasma, does it tire him physically? Or is it like an endless supply? Probably a good idea to put a few limits on amount here, just because it's such a dangerous material.
But the way you've broken his abilities down by stage is great! No discrepancies here.

Though I am kind of curious on how to picture his powers working… Does it ooze out of his markings like goo…? When he forms it into a ball, does it become solid or is it still plasma-like/oozing?

Also, what happens to the plasma he secretes on a regular basis? Like when he ruins his clothes, etc. What happens to the clothes? Is there a special method of disposing of it? What does he do with the plasma that he creates without meaning to? It sounds like a real pain to clean up/deal with. :T

@Obtaining powers
I think it would be pretty hard for a two year old to wander into his father's lab and just happen to find this vile that he was thirsty enough to drink, it may be a tad too young. Also leaves question as to how a kid so small managed to get to this vile, which I'd assume was on a table or some place high. Maybe 3 or 4? That way it's more plausible for him to climb things.

@Strengthes/Weaknesses
Just gonna note that I think these are well-balanced. :B

@Personality
So, if he only likes charming girls, what's he like with boys/adults? lol.

Bad tempered kid, I like that. Hahaha.
Though I do wonder about the possibility of him getting played by a girl. : P

@Backstory
I really enjoy the contrast of his parents, though it does leave question as to why Jenna married William or stays with him to begin with? Considering how little he seems to care about her or their son.

Will Jaxson's mom ever forgive herself for something she had little control over or will she always be trying to make it up to him? And what does she think of his behavior? The temper and the playboy attitude.

Also you noted that Jaxson feels scared/confused about his abilities and hurting his mom, I think this would be a great thing to note in his personality traits. Clearly him and his mom have a good strong relationship and he cares about her enough to avoid her so he doesn't hurt her, but does he talk to her about this? How does she feel about him distancing himself from her?

And how does he feel about the suspicions he has over the markings being a natural feature he was born with? Since he grew up thinking they were, how it was a source of pride, are they still a source of pride now that they're giving him problems?
How does his mom feel about him acting so superior?

And how does his mom afford to buy everything that he needs? I didn't get the impression that they were really a rich family.

Overall, I think this is a great profile! Just missing some important details here and there. (:
Definitely think it'll be ready soon!

Everything has been address and updated in his profile. Thank you so much for pointing out the stuff I missed completely.

The only thing I didn't address was this one little bit. I wrote him this way, just from personal experience.

I do have a two year old son, as well as a nine month old daughter. My two year old son can pop doors, climb chairs and tables, get into silverware drawer, and even climb up onto the kitchen counters if I turn my back on him for less then two seconds to check on his sister. He has a habit of getting into thing that he not suppose to, like my computer, my phone, or even his grandmother's stuff. He climbs over the back of the couch, and gets into the kitchen, and he even can climb the baby gates I have up to get into rooms he not suppose to.

My nine month old who is swiftly following in her brother's footsteps, having already mastered pulling herself up on things she shouldn't be touching and trying to climb and crawl into places she shouldn't.

However, if you think that him being slightly older would be better, I can change it – I just have personal experience that a two year old can very, very much do these things.

Oh woah. That's amazing. xD
Clearly I have very little experience with young-ins, definitely wouldn't know what a mom knows. So yes, totally feel free to ignore me on that. lol. Mom knows best. u__u b

I haven't re-read everything yet, I just wanted to mention this before I go on to reading everything again.
So brb while I do that~!

Edit:
Also, I just remembered something really important I forgot to ask you about before.
Did his father ever replicate his formula and try to mass-produce or get others to try it? Since it's such a huge scientific breakthrough, wouldn't this be big news? Or did his wife force him to stay quiet about it?

Edit2:
lol. I keep remembering details I forgot to ask.
Could his involuntary plasma secretion be caused by stress or emotional highs/lows? Or is there a certain kind of trigger that causes it? Maybe his temper..? Just wondering. (:

Krista_Darkangel_Silme

I've also read through it all again now, and what you've added in makes it fuller! Which is great. *___*

Just after the few other things I've asked in this post, and I think you'll be ready!

Its no worries, I wouldn't have believed a two year old could do that kind of stuff until I actually saw it happen with my own eyes thanks to my son. Its fun but crazy at the same time watching him explore and try to learn his boundaries.

Your newest crits have been address, and he ready to go once more.
